what's going on with Thomas Mueller

Mueller was benched in Zurich game by the new coach who seems to prefer Kroos over him,last season it was Kroos rooting on the bench,will it be Muller who rooting on the bench this season?

Jupp usually rotates alot throughout a season, therefore probably neither will "rot" on the bench. Müller didn't even rot there today. He was quite fresh when he came on for the last half hour.

Also, in order for the possibility of either of the two constantly rotting on the bench to even exist, we have to assume that both Ribery and Robben will not pick up any injuries this season. The season is long and so is their list of injuries. It's unlikely that both will play every game. And once either Ribery or Robben is out, Kroos or Müller are the first to step in.

Aside from this, I could see Kroos starting instead of Gustavo against teams that simply defend (and there's lots of those in the Bundesliga against Bayern). That too would mean that both Kroos and Müller have a place in the starting formation, even if nobody's injured.

He actually was touched today but you really don't have to go down every time
you are "slightly" touched.

Imo it's the fault of the Bundesliga refs. They award diving and there are never
any repurcussions for dives at all.

Players constantly get two-game bans for harmless fouls and divers usually get
no punishment but penalties instead. It'S frustrating.

I love the Bundesliga but refs are an issue.

imo Mueller's WC performances raised expectations too high for him

i don't think he's any worse of a player

he had the element of surprise during his 1st season and during the world cup. no one knew who he was. maradona thought he was a ball boy. but now that he's won the best young player of the world cup, everyone knows him. muller know needs to learn how to make space for himself and lose his markers. he's still a class player
