Aguero vs Suarez

Who's the better talent in your opinion?

Always thought Aguero was better but both are in my fantasy team

That's a tough one.

I was also wondering (I mentioned this in another thread), I wonder who scores more this season between Torres and Dzeko (the two late season flops of last year). Torres is the better striker no doubt, but I feel Dzeko will have Silva, Yaya and Aguero feeding him

Tough call. Aguero has been at top flight longer, has a bit more potential on the long term, and has created a future God in Benjamin Aguero Maradona, so I'd say him.

Can you imagine Maradona as your father in law?

Suarez has been criminally underrated for a long time because he played in Holland.

The same to an extent with Kun being overshadowed by Forlan on his own team and Messi/Ronaldo in La Liga.

This one is very difficult but If you had a gun to my head I would have to go with Kun by the slightest of margin's, but I would rather be a wimp and say it's a tie. With Kun's supporting cast he will have a better season so I will use that as the decider.

I am glad both of them got out of there situations (Ajax and Atletico) and brought some flare to the EPL, after Ronaldo left the EPL has needed a little flare IMO.

Between City (Dzeko,Tevez,Kun), Chelsea (Drogba,Torres,Sturridge), Man U (Chicharito, Rooney, Berba), and Liverpool (Suarez, Carroll,Kuyt) the EPL's top 4 has some sick attacking players. Hopefully they will be let loose, it will be a joy to watch.

Question on who is effective on the pitch? Suarez is simply a more complete player then Aguero and plays as SS compared to Kun who plays an inside forward.

Fun fact: most of suarez's goals came playing in the best team in a lower league... most golden boot counts etc will only count goals in netherlands as 0.5(from memory).

I'm guessing you haven't seen the difference between the La Liga and Eredivisie defenses have you? Its quite funny how people underrate the dutch league due to its coefficients but haven't seen how strong they really are in Europe against teams in the higher rank.

La Liga defenses are absolutely atrocious btw.

Question if Aguero played for Liverpool and Suarez played for City would you still find it so hilarious?

Aguero is simply better he has averaged over 20 goals a season in a struggling side and managed nearly 10 assists every season aswell....

And are you really the trying to make it seem than an SS and inside forward are totally different things?

They are basically the same an Inside forward plays between the wing and ss positions there's hardly a difference to be made here....

And no it is'nt because of his debut if you asked me the question 6 months ago my answer woudl have been the same....

Also Suarez played for a side who were the best in Holland and scored by the bucketload every game, Aguero played for a struggling Atletico in Spain where there atleast 5 teams that are superior to them.

I dont mean to make Suarez look bad because he's truly a wonderful player and one of the best in the EPL imo but Aguero is better and as i keep saying people will see that this season.

After today's game, of course everyone will say Aguero.

When Suarez makes a joke of Gibbs on saturday, people will jump on the Suarez wagon.

Probably not but Aguero is better imo and i have said numerous times how great he is and tonights performance means nothing it just means people who thought he was overrated are starting to change thier tune....

Your questioning my bias? I have been an Aguero fan longer then Suarez. I support players like Dzeko, Balotelli, Milner, Johnson and Silva in City as my bias will not cloud my judgment.

Inside forward and SS the same? You must be mistaken Mole, as a forward's role is purely to make runs and position himself into goalscoring positions by all means of attack as an SS is more like a DLF (deep lying forward) to a Number 10 role as an SS has a job which requires more facilitating and multi tasking compared to a role of a forward.


Ajax? Best in Holland? One of the best as their last title before the 2010-2011 title (in which Suarez played half a season) was in 2003 as Ajax faced many problems in their team and performances as they are even somewhat of a fallen giant in the Dutch League as well.

Plus? Ajax's midfield has been poor for years with little talent (except Eriksen the only notable one) while Athletico have had a solid midfield with technique for over a long time yet failed due to other factors. I can assure you on paper, their mid is simply better then Ajax's.

This also brings up the point that Kun has had far less pressure on him playing in a mid-table club fighting only for 4th spot whereas Ajax's expectations were far higher then that with them aiming for the league and CL. We both know that big expectations equals more pressure to perform as Suarez beats Aguero here.

International? Aguero hasn't lived up to expectation in the international stage whereas Suarez has continued to impress for the international with the World cup exploits and the Copa America.

you are always exaggerating when talking about defenses in la liga. You sound as if every quality scorer in la liga drops 30+ goals for fun.

Fact is, the eredivise is not of the same quality level as la liga, no matter how you rate la liga defenses, the eredivise isnt of the same standard.

Aguero never broke the 20 goals mark in la liga, does that mean that if he achieve the same in england, la liga defenses are better than the epl's? fun fact, torres waited to leave la liga to break that ceiling.

In a league where playing and letting play is the philosophy, he scored an awful little amount of goals per season.
