Per Mertesacker a gunner!

Great deal and *bleep* FINALLY ARSENAL IS BUYING PLAYERS

I've a gunner inside me it feels good to see this, saddened that it took the Man U beating to realise this

Ya but fabregas kept pulling his hamstring and barley ever played, and nasri was crap in the second half of the season. If we can get a top class AM come in, with our improved defence and if we can get wilshire healthy, we will probably be better then last year.

Mertesacker is a good defender, i think he will cope relatively well in EPL in general. Arsenal likes to play possession game so their line is always up. It's a player that can have troubles on the counter, but there arent many overly quick CA teams in england.

mertersacker is a really good signing for arsenal they need experience at the back /...

according to bbc he is at arsenal for medical. Star signing by Wenger, maybe some good came str8-2 arsenal right away because of united

To be fair, he was partnered with Sylvestre... probably the worst CB i have ever seen in my life. For a CB to be effective, he needs a decent CB next to him. Otherwise, you are always hesitating because you have no support.

This is exactly the guy Arsenal needs and he could be the captain in few years time.

Arsenal should also consider Vargas from Fiorentina to add the physical aspect to their midfield...

The whole Bremen team was terible last season, did you see how their defenders were pushing forward, so attacking minded. what would you expect from a player with such pace...? he will definitely get exposed.

I don't think Ramsey should be a starter. He isn't ready yet.

If Ramsey didnt break his leg, he could easily be a starter now.

Hes not far of reaching that potential but we cannot risk to rely on him either.

He need to makes the place on his own ala Wilshere.
