According to the records, the CL (or European Cup as it was called) that had the most spectators was in Hampden Park, Glasgow in 1960. Real Madrid beat Frankfurt. Does this stadium still exist? 135,000 capacity?????

It only has a capacity of 52,063 now, but back in the day there were less restrictions on how many they could have in there so they packed it with as many ppl as possible.

thats in the days of no seating stadiums thats how so many people could fit in, it also holds the european record for attendance of an international, 149,415 1937 british home championship between scotland and England. it holds all major european attendance records.
suprised you didn't know of it wiggles as scotland play their home games there.

Apparently the Scottish were so impressed by Real Madrid after that game they begged them to stay for another day to be celebrated.

It's not that Scotland has been an international contender over the past 30 years. I don't think I've actually ever watched a Scotland game, honestly.
