Despite his superb showing today I still think that he is no more than an average player. He is by no means a 25 million signing (Milner).
Barry is entirely different story. He looked like a world beater today but I wouldn't allow him anywhere near the midfield of Real Madrid. His dominance was more due to Manu's crap midfield than anything else.

Best perfomance for City. Good player IMO.

he was pretty good at Villa and is a pretty versatile player however no way is he worth 25mill...

Hes a good player and works very hard, a player all clubs needs.......

He is not worth 25million but he is capable of real quality at times i have no problem with Milner what so ever.....

Good ethic can get you along way if you got decent talent, I'd take that type of player over them overly talented but bad attitude players any-day of the week.

One of the newer breeds of "defensive wingers" who defends attacking fullbacks well and thats where they earn their money. Anything they give you in attack is a bonus.

Milner, Park, Pepe, Mathieu and Kuyt I guess all fall under this.

Its just none of those players were signed for or are known to be worth 25m.

Good squad player, plays his role.
