Re: Pedro Rodriguez
I'm amazed he renewed from his own viewpoint. He didn't look too happy this season and publicly talked about his lack of playing time. Guess he didn't get any offers from top clubs and prefers the Barca bench over playing time at clubs like Inter. No way he would have renewed if clubs like United or Arsenal were after him.

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
Going to have to watch this man flail around the pitch untill his career is over arent I
I knew he was fronting about leaving, he doesnt want to go anywhere.
Still feel we should have signed someone else. Yes, that man wont get a ton of playing time if Neymar, Messi and Saurez are fit...but if he could also play a Rakitic-esque midfield cum right wing role too, there would be time.
David Silva, Di Maria type of player. Obviously it wouldnt be either of them, but that kind of player positionally.

Didn't expect this at all. I'm pleasantly suprised tbh. Being in the shadow of MSN ain't that bad it seems.

There is still hope. His contract was running out next summer. With the transfer ban he was staying anyway. At least they made sure he isn't leaving for free like Alves (if he doesn't renew) and he can still be sold next summer.

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
On one hand no one significantly better than Pedro would want to come to play second field.
On the other hand if he had any ambition in him he’d want to try his luck elsewhere.
I still think that he can be converted in RB at least for the easier games

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
That's surprising but I'm happy. We will be able to enjoy this fantastic player and Barça legend for a further season and he will be able tooutscore the likes of Ronaldinho and Stoitchkov.
Ideally, we should sell him next season though. We'll see what happens.

Seems to be the case. All the noise about possible departure was a negotiating tactic. He can't really 've it any better over at another club, whatever the stature, for it will only further expose his limitations, and he's aware of that. Staying at Barca means rub shoulders with football's crème de la crème, be paid well, and retain the (false) reputation of being talented yet sacrificing for the greater good of the club. Whilst also seeing the ignorant non-barca fan go "Wish we had the amazing Pedro in our team".

I'm amazed at how anyone could be surprised at this. Did anyone think we would actually sell him?

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
He is a good sub for the front three. Cant complain if he is going to play similar amount of times as he has been playing since Suarez was allowed to play.
Someone mentioned converting him into RB. He appears to have the work-rate, but does he have enough of defensive positional awareness?

Awful post.
Also, wanted to commend Pedro's 2 minutes in the Champions league final = 1 assist. Good decision making and tempo from Pedro to leave Neymar on a 1vs1.
We had like 3 other similar situations that our other forwards managed to screw up, especially Neymar and Suarez.

We should sell Neymar and Suarez and use 2 forwards = sergi and pedro with messi as a right midfielder

Fußtradamus strikes again.
Pedro (27) renewed because his contract expired next year. If a good offer comes, both club and player don't rule out exit. [ser]

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
Hope is Pedro to stay, considering we can't sign there isn't a better option. Even if we could sign, there isn't a better option in terms of quality, adaptation and willigness to be a rotation player.

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
i would of sold pedro for vietto on a heartbeat.
or another promising youth player.
although keeping pedro isn't too bad either but eh he's not getting younger and already peaked

Re: Pedro Rodriguez
When Benzema, James or Bale arent playing well or are injured...Madrid will bring Isco, or even Jese.
We going to bring Pedro?
Cant convince me we cant improve on that area.
You seriously would decline if Madrid offered to swap Isco or Pedro? I dont believe you

Isco is a midfielder, who would play at Iniesta's place in our team, and Jese is not any better than Pedro right now (not even in the foreseeable future after his injury). Their other option is Chicharito who is also quite meh and doesn't play in the same position as Pedro.
