Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
Lampard got injured in training today and could be out of the Euro.

If he is out and Henderson called up, it could even be a good thing. England need more energy in their midfield than all these 30+ guys Gerrard, Lampard, Parker walking about.

I don't know. Lampard is no longer WC, but he's good. Much better than Gerrard imo. Hodgson plays hoofball and counter attacks... that's just how he is. Lampard fit that style perfectly.
Parker-Gerrard midfield is pretty ugly lol.

Parker-Gerrard was hopeless in their previous outing against Norway at least. In the final 15 minutes England played much better when young players were brought on. Henderson made good runs in midfield and actually got players moving, something that Parker and Gerrard couldn't do, plus England managed to bring the ball up using the crafts of Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the wings.
The bottom line is England need more mobility than what fielding all those veterans gives them.

Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
Maybe Henderson will emerge... but it's not like the Liverpool midfield play is a thing of beauty, no offense. In fact, it was mostly awful after the Lucas injury.

I'm not the biggest fan of Henderson - not yet anyway - but he fits the category of young & willing to run. England need someone like that, somebody whose runs in midfield will get the whole team moving, hopefully.

I think his brain cell goes into overload and causes him to smile creepily Babs. My german isn't great... but i get the sense that he's not the sharpest.

Klose is the total opposite. He uses meditation to raise his concentration level for tournaments :lol!:
I once read one of his interviews. He tries many crude things He uses yoga for stretching

Re: euro 2012 discussion thread
I dont know why you buy into these lists so much. These depend on what the person or company making the list things and can change in a matter of months.
None of these are an absolute representation of player quality. So I dont see all the anger with regards to the list. Its like Fantasy Football and stuff or maybe Fifa ratings. Taking it like that. There is no absolute rating anyway

Of course he smiles at the end of every sentence. He knows that means the interview is closer to being over, so he can go and play some football.
