Do you people still doubt Damiao

6 Goals so far at the Olympics plus one freestyle move that was just jaw dropping and just is always at the right spot at the right time. I said about a year ago that Damiao was better prepaired to go to Europe and start dominating then Neymar and caught all types of hate from credible posters and ones who had barely seen either of them play.

So while all of you give Oscar, Neymar, Lucas etc all this hype I think you need to start to realize what a terror this man is going to be the minute he hits European soil.

The guy is a goal machine and has the body to hold up and dominate in Europe. Some team is going to steal him with the prices some of these other Brazilian's are commanding and for whatever reason he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Just buy him and you will have a top 5 striker for the next 10 years, I don't understand what's holding teams back.

And yes Neymar has been spectacular and probably the best player in the Olympics but he gets enough credit.

LOL, what're you even going on about, everybody has known Leandro Daimao is a good player. I still rate all the other players higher. I do rate Leandro but it's not because of the olympics, it's because of his performances in the Brazilian league. BTW judging players by the Olympics typically isn't a good idea.

I have rated Damiao for years from watching the Brazilizn league as I am one of the few on here who actually do watch it, so I don't know what you're going on about.

I put this up AGAIN because this is a more popular competition he is dominating and all the EPL-heads and people who refuse to watch anything across the Atlantic Ocean will have actually now seen him play for an extended period of time so I wont get comments like he's a tap in merchant and slow and he has no moves etc etc like last time I did this same thread a year ago.

And you can judge players by any competition especially when there club form totally backs it up. I mean look at the Argentina team who won this tournament 4 years ago I think they had some pretty spectacular players out there for them that you could judge from the tournament.

But seriously, it's just the Olympics. I'd rather judge a player from his league play, rather than play in the Olympics, which is another reason the timing of this thread is a bit funny.

Either way he is a very good player, so what if he doesn't get hype, hes not the type of player that attracts hype anyway

Hes a good quality striker whos clinical, flashy pacy players will always develop more hype

Doubt spurs will get him unless Modric is sold, he's going to be at least 20m+ I would think.

He's been quality, his last goal was just a jab from a nothing chance but he managed to put it away anyway.

LOL, see this is exactly why I do this thread. "Just bullying teens" Well it's an under 23 tourney plus 5 senior players so there are not a ton of teens out there.

Plus he had over 40 goals in Brazil last year not to mention going to Europe in preseason and giving it to Barca and Milan. And he's on fire in Brazil this year as well. Plus he scored in the Copa Libertadores final when he was put on as a substitute 3 years ago yet he gets no hype.

People say it's curious that the thread is made now, well when the hell should the thread be made? None of you watch the Brazilian league except for a few so you just assume who ever teams are chasing are great players and you don't even watch them play.

Was there a thread made when he was the best young forward in South America last year? Yes by me and he got all types of hate.

Was there a thread made when he scored in the Libertadores final as a 20 year old? Nope, no one cared but if Neymar and the others do it then they are the next coming of Pele.

Was there a thread made when he went to Europe in the pre-season and looked the best player on the pitch at tBArca and Milan plus scoring on both of them? Nope, no one cared.

Now he's doing the same exact thing on the international stage at the Olympics and everyone in the media etc are all over Neymar and Oscar's balls yet not a thread made about him except for me.

So again tell me when the appropriate time is to make a thread about the most underrated player in the world especially when huge sums of money are being thrown around for forwards all over the place?
