Bale the new Ronaldo?

Apparently Bale's also the player who's dived the most since the start of last season I think. Early Ronaldo and current Bale's diving stat might be similar.

I remember a similar statistic being used to predict Nani becoming better than Ronaldo. Bale is somewhat similarly skilled when you analyze simply based on the position he plays (he can get down the line and cross as well as score) but vastly inconsistent and much less versatile.

When will people recognise/admit that Ronaldo is a once every generation player. What makes Ronaldo a good player is his technical and physical attributes. What make him great are his mental attributes.

I see Bale only as a decent player because of his decision making, kind of like Nani is some aspects.

Rubbish, Bale has improved has allround game to ridiculous levels over the last 2 years.

He's been outstanding this season and definitely one of the top 3 players in the league so far.

He's not as good as the media say ( up with Messi etc etc lmao) and i think that clouds peoples judgment on him because in reality he's a fantastic player.

Needs to cut out the diving though.

Problem here is Cristiano had not yet really exploded into the player he would become, I imagine the Bale we see today wont get much better.

Ronaldo is an hard-worker and have a strong mentality. i doubt Bale has it.

But Bale is improving well , so no-on could say that he couldn't reach Ronaldo's level . But even if he does , would he be able to keep this level for 5 years ?

I think the media overhyping him has caused the world to underrate him.

He's fantastic player whose so much more than just speed.

Its starting to happen.

A player is so overrated, eventually due to the criticism he then takes he becomes underrated.

He has some flaws in his game, but he is one of the better players in his position no question.

Bale reminds me of Ryan Giggs actually. Ronaldo is not a winger. Last time he was a wingerwas in 07.

Very good comparison although Bale is a much bigger goal threat.

But the styles are very similar, i'm actually surprised you haven't bought him lol or at least tried to.

Prime Giggs had fantastic close control and was a far better passer. I have to disagree on that comparison.

Bale is more like a downgraded version of the Ronaldo of today.

Bale puts in many crosses though, Cristiano almost never does.

I dont see Bale similar to him in this sense. Take up different areas of the pitch also, Cristiano puts himself in goalscoring positions more frequently.

Ronaldo does cross. To me it's ineffective and pointless..but he does do it relatively well. Bale does it a bit better and more frequently as it's somewhat the staple of his game.

Bale has fantastic close control, in fact i feel it's often ignored part of his game.

His passing may not be Giggs level but neither was Giggs at Bale's age but it's still at a good standard it's much better than CR's anyway.
