Marvel Moving Forward on THE INHUMANS Movie
http://collider.com/the-inhumans-movie-joe-robert-cole-script/
Would be a lot more darker than GoTG but interesting. Marvel are really head and shoulders into the movie world atm.

Got the New 52 comics up until week 152. Going to be reading them in my free time. I wish I had a tablet.

Re: Comics
Red, are you saying that Marvel owns studio rights to Mutants? I was led to think otherwise. Which is why Baron Strucker referred to Quicksilver's and Scarlet Witch's existence as the "age of miracles" rather than "mutants"....right?

Re: Comics
Has anyone here actually read Annihilation and the following era of Cosmic Marvel (up to the post-Thanos Imperative reboot)?
If so, are you keeping track of the current run in Cosmic Marvel under Bendis' direction and in particular the current explanation of how certain characters are around and alive when they really oughtn't be?
Assuming anyone is still with me at this point... are you as annoyed/pissed off with how they're handling it?

Re: Comics
Al Pacino has said he wouldn't be opposed to playing a role in comic book movie. Any role that would suit? I don't many old characters that would fit his talent. Would be really sad for him to get a nothing role, considering his talent.

Re: Comics
I really hope they make a standalone movie for Thanos. Thanos: Quest or something. He deserves it.

- Thor The Dark World:
- Keep in mind that Loki is ruling Asgard as Odin. Will he give the Gauntlet to Thanos? And what if the Collector is collecting all the stones for Thanos?

Re: Comics
What a great time to be alive I never thought we would see solo Black Panther, Doctor Strange or Captain Marvel movies. And an Infinity Gauntlet storyline. Fingers crossed that most movies, especially the DC Comics ones turn out to be good. I have a feeling that Ant Man will be average tbh.

I have to say Christopher Nolan will forever be a legend in my eyes. He probably has no idea what he's done for comic movies. The standard he set with TDK trilogy was incredible. Set the tone for ALL future comic movies. The Avengers took it further and now we're getting blessed from every angle.
I have no doubt most of these movies will be fantastic. The competition between Marvel and DC is probably more intense now than it has ever been. I bet DC wish they weren't 3 years late to the party. They're probably kicking themselves for how shit Man of Steel turned out too(Nolan was reportedly very unhappy with the movie himself).
The entire fate of the DCCU right now rests on Ben Affleck imo. If he can pull off Batman fantastically, it'll set them up for good. Think what Robert Downey Jr. did for Marvel.
This is fun!

Re: Comics
Nolan didn't start anything. If anything X-men did. TDK is just an action drama with a man in a cape. Barely anything in common with the MCU.

Oh he did. What you're missing is, X-Men movies are really in a world of their own. There have been A LOT of trash superhero movies since X1. If we want to really get technical, the origin of it all was Blade(1998), not even X1.
And you say "just an action drama with a man in a cape" as if you couldn't say that about pretty much every superhero movie pls
My point is, there's a certain standard TDK movies set for this genre. It has appealed to audiences that are far more than just comic book fans or just people bored enough to watch such movies.
How many comic movies in the past 20 years....in fact in history have widely been considered as "all time classics" or "one of the greatest movies ever". Something out of a COMIC BOOK. Only the The Dark Knight can boast of something like that.

Re: Comics
Iron Man came out before TDK, so I still don't think TDK had that big of an effect. X-men was the first to introduce the superhero into the modern main stream. Nolan trilogy is not superhero movies, not even close. X-men started the whole trend of making spin-offs and connected films, which Marvel later improved upon.

The fact that Nolan tried to make Batman as real as possible and make it look like something a normal guy with the right resources and training could actually pull off doesn't make it any less of a superhero movie. I'm not sure I get your point here.
Besides, pioneers aren't always the most iconic figures in history.

Yea one of my favourites. One hand Green Arrow
You probably read year one and infinite crisis as well I am guessing. 'Kingdom come' and the man who has seen it all are old but good. Zero Hour and Blackest Night are great too.
