Will drop shots still be a thing?
Riot shield wielding c4 throwing still a thing?
Over powered DLC only weapons?

No thanks.

Doubt I'll get it. Looks too much like Black Ops.

Hopefully one day they make a Modern Warfare type game.

Agreed cod should stick to modern times, slightly futuristic times and any old wars

No need to dip into that sci-fi area

There's a separate list of game modes in Advanced Warfare where the "EXO" abilities ("jetpack", strafe-boosts etc) are completely disabled. If you don't like playing with, or against people using them, you can just play a game mode from that list. I'm not a fan of the whole sci-fi, futuristic theme that they keep doing these days, either.. but this is Sledgehammer games, not Infinity Ward or Treyarch. I'm going to give this game a shot.

By the way, people who use EXO-abilities appear on the mini-radar whenever the abilities are being used, unless they use a perk that prevents them from showing up on the radar when they use them. So, people will have to use the abilities sparingly, or sacrifice a third perk slot in order to not get noticed. Apparently, the majority of the people who have already played the game weren't aware of this, because the icon that indicates ability use on the mini-map is different from the icon that indicates gunfire. Every time you die, you start with a full battery that gets drained when the abilities are being used.

I've already gotten used to having the double-jump ability in Destiny, and I'm sure there are several such abilities in Titanfall already, so I don't know why some people are making such a big deal out of it. Yeah, I get that it just doesn't seem right for the traditional, fast-paced, CoD gameplay, but they're trying something new and they're giving you the option of disabling them if you want to. Like I said, you can just play on one of the basic, non-EXO game modes if you don't like them. I've been told that there's a separate list for these. From what I've seen, these abilities include double-tapping in a direction for a directional speed-boost, jump-boost, and some kind of ability that lets you crash down to the ground, dealing an unspecified amount of damage.

Melee hits don't automatically attach to targets from short distances anymore, you have to be accurate, and you have to actually be really close to the target, in order to hit it. That's definitely good news, in my opinion. Also, long-distance damage on machine guns has been severely reduced compared to how it is in Ghosts. I hated Ghosts, overall, but one thing that really pissed me off about that game was how some guy with an SMG on the other side of the map could kill me before I got a chance to even zoom in on my sniper rifle.

I've seen some people complain about the laser gun in the game, but from what I understand it's complete shite Razz Relatively low damage, huge muzzle flash. It just looks cool, and it doesn't run out of ammo... and it gets overheated after every 1-2 kills.

There are a few reasons for why I will be getting this game, although I'm pretty tired of this franchise as a whole.

There are hardly any interesting games out for PS4 at the moment, and apart from FIFA 15, I'll have to wait until next year for something else worth buying. It's Sledgehammer's first Call of Duty game. I have plenty of cash to burn, these days.

I'm not interested in COD until the next Treyarch one however I'll probably end up buying this at some point even if it's just for the campaign Laughing Because I like Thimmy have cash I don't need, or will have when I get paid. So if it's even good for a few weeks It's still an excuse to use my ps4 and something to go on when I rage at fifa.

Actually this game does look good, at least the multiplayer. I'm willing to give Sledgehammer Games a chance.

When sledgehammer first got involved it was mw3 and they ruined the maps imo

In trying to eradicate camping (which is nigh on impossible) they raped the layout.

Cause they're almost all pure shit lmao

Think I 'liked' 2 as opposed to some other cods where I loved a few, liked loads and only had grievance with 1 or 2

Scrubhammer fill me with no confidence, and I won't even listen to anybody hyping COD up until they've had at least 3 weeks to calm the fk down and be less bias.

Another issue I have with non treyarch CODs is they're afraid to use colour

Go run about in any MW/Ghosts map and see how it's void of any stand out colours

MW2 was GOAT, MW was great undoubtedly but they're allergic to colour

WAW remains my favourite though.

I'm still waiting for another game that's similar to MW1 and MW2. Ghosts is easily the most forgettable CoD game, in my opinion. The maps, the weapons, the overall feel of the game just didn't make me want to pick it up and play it. I actually liked the maps, Lockdown and Hardhat in MW3. Small to medium- sized maps really are the best.

Lmao if I knew they removed ground war from PS3 version I wouldn't have bought it.

The game was so shit. Had it for a few weeks before I sold the crap.

It was way too easy to die. Never experienced anything like that in the previous cod games.

cod4 & waw had the perfect formula with shots & deaths.
