Not really sure that Welbeck is the answer to Arsenals issues now anyway. So probably does not matter.

So we have a little cup victory last year papering over the cracks we had on the team. Allowing Wenger to sign a new contract. We then feign a little ambition early in the transfer window to get the fans off the back of the club and manager. Now it is the end of the window we replaced Sagna. Signed another youth project and got a luxury signing in Alexis. Let's be real he was not a necessity nor did he fit into a needed position.
Now it is the last hours of the transfer windows and the Boss is on holiday in Rome for a charity event.

Junge Welt - a Berlin based daily newspaper - is reporting that Arsenal have activated Klaas Jan-Huntelaar's £12.75m release clause.

I highly doubt said release clause exists but we're getting somewhere now.
