Michael Cox already thinks Hazard is at that elite level

If I am being serious for just a bit. Hazard is an elite level player at a wrong team. And not saying because Mourinho rarely lets him play his own game. But wrong team as in that very few watches Chelsea when they are not playing someone big.

More people will watch someone like Fellaini or Kane than they will watch Hazard play. That's why no one will see Gil's point of view. Nor Hazard will ever win POTY at Chelsea.

Statistics can be used for anything, it's an interesting observation but it really doesnt mean anything. All the parameters of that observation are chosen arbitrarily by him so make his point that Hazard is genius, and by correlation, to give some english loving to Bale.

Why not remove pks from those goals, just to see if Hazard is still in that list...

No doubt, Hazard is elite, and he has been playing at a consistently high level for more than 4 years already. But i cant help but think that he has almost become boring because as an individual talent, i dont see him hitting those highs in terms of performance, either in europe or with his NT. But it's ok, he is young, and these can still happen down the line.

The whole football world saw him at the World Cup and he straight up sucked. He won't be recognized until he proves himself at the highest level (CL, La Liga or World Cup/Euro).

To me the surprise inclusions in that list were Fekir and Dybala.

He's beyond ridiculous.

Finally becoming more decisive in the bigger games, still got a long way to go through. Lets hope he can do it vs Arsenal as well.

I didnt believe, but the past few weeks its painfully clear.

Don't ever think he will be the best player in the world playing under Mourinho, but he is by far the best in the league this season.

the players you just listed belong to 3 different classes

I'm not going to argue about him again on this forum but I'll just say Eden Hazard won't ever be fully appreciated until he makes the move to one of Madrid, Barcelona or possibly Bayern.

People genuinely can't see Mourinho's holding him back for his absolute maximum potential. At Madrid, Bayern, Barca etc he wouldn't be playing for a team that has just 30% possession at home to the 3rd placed team in the League.

What he's doing right now is insane and still understated solely because Mourinho is our manager but imagine him under a more proactive team surrounded by even better players. Only Messi is an outright better player than him right now.

Perfect Cristiano replacement tbh. Uncle Flo should start saving some money.

What you said (minus the last bit since Robben is probably the best player after Messi atm) is spot on and what I've been saying for a long time.

He needs a proper manager who can use his potential right. Make him the main man.

thing is with that contract he's on now he can't go anywhere but the expected 150m € move to Real in a couple of seasons

Not doubting his quality. Mourinho definitely holding him back. He surely has to hate playing in this current Chelsea side.

Absolutely. Ronaldo's overall play pales in comparison to both.
