Klopp to Bayern actually.
That's why he needs one year off. Pep will move on in 2016 and he can take the job.
Just wait and see

Let me get this straight - you bet 50 € that Pep would be fired?

From the presser
Kloppo will definitely leave Dortmund in summer. He said he wanted to tell this early so that the club had ample time to plan his replacement, not like with certain players. He stated he isn't tired and he doesn't plan a sabbatical, although he doesn't know whether he will be required to take one.

I shouldn't have been surprised but I am tbh, the real question though is who wanted this. Is he leaving or being sacked?

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
According to Jürgen Klopp it was his own decision, and from the miens of Aki Watzke and Michael Zorc who pretty much looked as if someone had died, it doesn't appear as if they were the ones who axed him.Cruijf wrote:I shouldn't have been surprised but I am tbh, the real question though is who wanted this. BTW Tuchel is the obvious replacement if they want to keep a similar style, right?

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Pretty sure it's Tuchel. He's turned down Leipzig, Schalke, now magically Hamburg get Labbadia instead of him (LABBADIA LOL).
Will be interesting to see what Tuchel's really made of now, the hype had paradoxically been getting bigger while he was not coaching anywhere.
100% Dortmund did NOT initiate this.
If Klopp quits it's because he has decided to quit, though I guess the way things went this season Dortmund bosses will not be completely perplexed about the decision.
I think it's a logical consequence of the season.
What Klopp did with Dortmund is stuff of legends, the little bit of extra sparkle to continue in this vein has been lost.

@Viva
a) Great Plan
b) Yeah, Tuchel would likely adapt a similar, if not identical style.

Not quite. Kloppo is a Liverpool fan, IIRC. Maybe he's looking for an opening there.RealGunner wrote:Klopp to City is obvious isn't it?

It looks obvious, though I hope it's not as obvious as it looks.
I don#t think it's the best choice he could make going in the PL (and he will be going to the PL), with a little bit of patience there could be better one.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
I'm not gonna say Klopp is a fraud, but he's definitely not that good. When he had awesome players in his team and they stayed injury free, he performed well, even slightly above average. Once he lost some quality and had to face real challenges (Guardiola for instances) he just couldn't do anything.

If you think about it, Liverpool really would be just ideal for Klopp, and vice versa.
He could become a true legend there similar to at Dortmund, if he gets them to win a cup or even the league, or even top 4, and Liverpool is the kind of club he sympathizes with anyway.
Plus I really think Klopp is better at producing stars than dealing with stars, his football also requires that extra committment and intensity that's easier to induce into less saturated players
