Not really. He's not a natural LB and is not left footed. He was pretty meh offensively under David Brent when he played there.

We need to sign a starting LB for sure because Moreno is awful.

I'm happy with Moreno, he improved in the 2nd half of the season and isn't a bad footballer at all. If he just sharpened up defensively a little and didn't cross the ball so much in attack, he'd be really good.

As for Gomez, I'm just afraid he'll turn out another Wisdom or Kelly, falls between being a center-back and full-back and doesn't make it in either position at Liverpool.

I feel Joe should be the 4th CB behind Sakho, Lovren and Matip and would develop his potential.

Joe is better at defending while Arnold is better at attacking. But he still is solid in defensive duties.

He's a kid that's shown some promise, Hans. I honestly don't mind him. He does make mistakes but he is trying to break into the team / needs the experience to improve. Plus, he's a local lad and we need some passion in this group.

Keep in mind we've practically thrown him in because Clyne's injury wasn't considered serious / wasn't supposed to keep him out for so long. He's done okay compared to the more senior players next to him.
