it costs money to sack a coach. i know roman is swimming in cash and all, but i bet he hates paying off contracts to managers especially after he feels they haven't delivered. every time they let a coach go who's still under contract, that's a seven figure sum. and with someone like jose it could be a high seven figures or more. the season's still long, and its england; the good thing about the premier league is any of the top teams can have a bad patch, none of them is strong enough to go on some superman type unbeaten run and there are still lots of domestic and personal rivalries among clubs. unlike la liga where you need 90 plus points to win, and sometimes even that isn't enough

It could have been said that Mou was the best coach in the world 4-5 years ago, but he really is not anymore.

Coaches go through ups and downs just as much as players, and similarly to how Capello (despite once being a top coach) is no longer top 20 coach now.

It is simply ridiculous to say that Mou is the world's best manager today.

He likely won´t get sacked during the season. Why? Because of cost and who is going to replace him (and to be fair to replacement, have a decent chance of correcting team).

But regarding at end of season, I would be willing to wager it will happen. Ask yourself, is this 3rd year any different that 3rd years at other clubs? Has he ever lasted into a 4th season?

It´s a simple fact that his act wears thin after a couple of years plus the fact that he never built a team for the future. He gets rid of young talent, overplays the vets and leaves his successors with a unmotivated broken team of aging vets.

Those of you proclaiming he is the best out there, need to examine his record a little more closely rather than listening to his self proclaiming bullshit.

Don't see why not if it gets that bad, Abramovich sacked him in the middle of the season before he won't hesitate to do it again if he thinks it's right.

He does play kids.... Varane and Zouma being prime examples. But the kids need to be undeniable talents. Other than that, i agree with you Bill.

Underdog mentality and tactics with elite teams only works so much... and it seems the lifecycle is 2-3 years.

Mourinho himself wore off a while ago, his underdog mentality worked for a chelsea that didnt win for 50 years and an underachieving inter, but he got exposed in Madrid and he really lost his charm. I used to read all his press conferences and his comments coz he was the type of arrogant that you liked, but now...nah, he's that guy tou wanna punch in the face.

When PSG dissapoint in Europe again this season they'll get Mou. But that'd mean the end of their Ronaldo pursuit so who knows. He's made too many enemies in football

Wouldn't call his times at Chelsea and Madrid obvious failures. Any team would be lucky to have him for two seasons, but wouldn't push for more.

I have been a critic of Mou since he came back, but i fully realize under the right situation he can still be the best manager in the world.

Not sure how anyone could say they 'dissapointed' in Europe recently more than Mourinho hmm

I don't think there's another big club in store for José in the close future.

Mou need to do some soul searching he hasn't been the same since managing Madrid.

Need some time off and regroup find his inner special one.

i really feel bad i think he is gone soon. Never wanted him back at Chelsea. Not because he is not good enough, but not the right person for Chelsea anymore.
