I feel like there's a huge misconception around Higuain. He's not a clinical poacher that chokes and flops under pressure. He's just not clinical, the same chances and penalties he squandered in big games he often squanders against the likes of Carpi, Frosinone etc.

I still think he's an excellent forward because he's really good at getting those chances, often creating them out of nowhere and scoring some of them, not enough to be considered clinical but a good amount, and he's really good at link-up play and sending his teammates through on goal.

Maybe I've said this before, but he reminds me of Giorgio Chinaglia now. He can take on defenders and out muscle them to score as he did recently or deftly strike a volley into the net. he may end up underrated like Chinaglia, but he is one of today's top strikers, in any league.

Exactly. He is inconsistent in front of goal, and he tends to miss quite a few of those easy chances in important matches. But these days he seems to be getting over those inconsistencies.

he's right footed. in the early part of his career at madrid he used to score a bunch of scorchers with his left foot, when he became more of a poacher he stopped. but he's among those players good with both feet nedved, pedro, zidane for example
