Can't believe Argentina have so much talent and are still so hopeless. Messi, Agüero, Higuain, Di Maria. They should destroy teams even with West Ham quality midfielders and defenders hoofing the ball forward.

The problem is how to get them to all play well together. Also they never seem to be fit at the same time - and playing a half-fit Aguero or Higgy hasn't worked out well for us in the past 2 years.

I'd go for a 442 personally, Aguero is no AM. And then you have the additional problem that with the rest of the team being parked all the creativity comes out of Messi and inconsistent Di Maria.

Until he shows up in the final stage of a tournament, his rep isn't really going to change.... either for club or country. Since no CL, it will have to be next year really.

TBH Pipita is a league GOAT. It's knoc out tournaments that he has issues. He has flopped too many times in big moments. Lyon, Germany, chile and last year that penalty miss that cost naples the cl spot. Verdict is out on him till he does something in the cl.

I don't rate strikers. They only have to dominate a small part of the field. I only rate midfielders because they have so much more skill, can drible 2-3 guys, make them fall and do a no look pass cross court while also scoring.
