That's not true, but just as an exercise in proof compare his 13/14 and 14/15 seasons with any of the strikers that are considered elite. He matches them in production, and passes the eye test if you watch, and has less support than any of them in terms of the quality of team and plays against tougher opposition because of it.

Of course he's been elite, and is a very dominant player (depending on your definition).

Being a better fit for a specific team (especially when being part of that is delegating to Ronaldo) doesn't necessarily mean you're a better player. That was also many years ago.

yeah right when are fans gonna stop with that crap? mou hated benzema ffs and still had to turn to him in big games over higs, why would he do something like that? cause he is the better fit? or because was and still is the more reliable CF of the 2?

mou is a results driven manger, its the latter obviously, as i said before never gonna understand why higs get this eternal free pass, fans love painting him as this unbelievable mythical striker just for the sake of it.

This is the only season he has been dominant, he was being outperformed by the likes of Tevez, Immobile, Toni and Icardi in his first two seasons. If he was dominant then what were they?

We have a bunch of make shift Serie A experts in this thread. Higuain was a very good striker in his first two years but he was no where nearly as good as he is now. If you would've asked who's better between Cavani and Higuain before this season started it would be Cavani hands down, but now that Higgy has stepped up his game there is something to talk about.

It's true. This Higuain is different. Full of confidence and and determined to kill the 'demons' of the past. It's like Sarri resurrected him from the dead after CA2015.

That list needs to be corrected. Goals of players with less than 2 league titles or less than a treble in the same time frame (last 5 seasons) should be multiplied with the factor 1/3, similar to the official Golden Boot ranking according to league strength coefficients. So we can filter out statpadders who do not actually perform. Goals of players who won a treble should be multiplied with the factor 2.

Higuain's resurgence has been nothing short of epic. I still don't think Napoli will take seeing how much more solid Juve are but Napoli will defo be going to CL next season. Hope Higgy keeps it up cause he's now back to my list of WC Forwards.
