Winter Transfer rumors

before even looking in details at what pato has been doing in the past few years, his injury history etc..., i would just answer that Pato is not, and has never been a n9. Since we play 433 he can be valuable on the bench since he can play wide forward though...

ideal back is someone who can play across the defense and even with benzema. not sure...

Aubameyang is the one we're going after according to more than one of the people i know in France... and they would know because he was at St Etienne. He can play all 3 forward positions too.

Half of January gone and Auba is still not your striker, sports.

What's going on? When are you going to unveil him?

Auba would be perfect for it, but he became the leading CF for a very good european club this season, i can hardly see him agreeing to become our first attacking option off the bench.

We need to sell one of our strikers before bringing in Auba. So it won't happen in the winter (not that Dortmund would allow it anyhow)... but in the summer, Auba will come. He will publicly ask to leave if it comes to it. You can bank on this now unless we change our minds and decide not to pursue.

Benz turns 29 in Dec and Ronaldo is 30 already.  The chance that both stay beyond next season is very small... for the chance to play at Madrid and given the age situation of our strikers, Auba has absolutely no problem with it (according to rumor).

Only two other teams could compete for his services with Madrid...  Barca and Bayern.  I very much doubt Dortmund would sell to Bayern again and Barca have a much worse logjam than we do at the forward positions.

Only way he stays at Dortmund is if they match the wages that we would offer and there's no way they could do that.

Auba is 26 going on 27 in the summer, in his prime or reaching it. Benzema is ONLY 28 and will turn 29 in december, is in his prime. I cant see how it makes sense for him to come to madrid...

lol.  I don't think you realize that it's a lot more about the money and prestige for the EXACT reasons you mentioned.  If Madrid or another elite club that I mentioned offer him 2x or more of his current wages for 5 years, he's coming... bench or no bench.  If the money is right, it doesn't matter.

Besides, he thinks he's better than everyone else so competition doesn't bother him. He went to Dortmund with Lewa at CF, Reus on one wing and Błaszczykowski/Großkreutz competing for the other spot. He had no guarantees and his transfer price was low. He just liked their system and Klopp. He had similar wages and a clear path to start with a couple of EPL clubs and he didn't take it because Dortmund had the prestige.

Money and prestige... from what i've heard (and how his move to Dortmund happened), those are Auba's main motivators.

You do realize i was talking under the context of Benz being sold, right? That was the assumption. Since it was clear that Madrid was keeping track of him already, it only made sense that they would try to move the timeline up if they were forced to... Madrid are going to sign a top shelf striker this summer. There was no doubt about it. I think the FIFA sanctions makes this even more a goal for the club if anything. They're going to overload every position.

This one? i don't think so unless someone leaves. Don't think anyone is leaving... Maybe buy a really young kid if the opportunity presents itself. Nothing that would make a huge impact.

Nothing serious so far. Some names are being mentioned here and there like Betancur and Sané. But it sounds more like a click bait than a legit rumor.

Real Madrid are being awfully quiet. They are either convinced they're going to overturn the ban (unlikely) or they're going to wait until summer before taking the case to the CAS which would give them enough time in the summer window to buy their targets.

Saw the news about this on ESPN deportes then found it on Marca.

Looks like we are going to sign Betancur a 18 yr old prospect from Boca. Most likely for Castilla.

Read that Juve has first dibs on him but Perez is willing to pay 10-15 million

Isn't too much for a Castilla signning? does he have a EU Passport?

We really should be looking at DM's. They don't need to be established greats or anything. I mean having an actual DM is better than no DM or Casemiro surely. Ideally he should be someone who can pass, as well do everything a regular DM always does.

Weigl, Ruben Neves or Geis are decent targets.

I really don't see what changes RM would want to make over the winter; looming transfer ban or not.

I think we look okay to be honest. However, if Zidane puts his stamp on anyone to come I automatically give full approval.

@Mr Nick09 Obviously Weigl, Neves and Geis are better because they all have higher potential (84, 86 and 86 compared to 81 of Casemiro)
