B team ? = Gabigol

Our B team would finish second in the league tbh, especially considering we severally weakened our two biggest competitors.

The scary part is Marotta isn't finished yet. We got another midfielder coming in who will fill in for Marchisio at least for the first half of the year.

Can't wait for the start of the season. Let's see what draw we get for CL. Exciting times ahead. Pogba is a big loss, but he was going to leave at some point, so better now so we can move forward.

Higuain, Pjanic, Pjaca, Alves, Benatia, Gabigol?, another midfielder. A+ mercato for Marotta.

Juventus, agreement in place with Gabigol: talks ongoing with Santos,Doyen and the player’s family...

Juventus have an agreement with Gabigol and with his father: 4 or 5 year contract with a salary of 2.5 million euros per year plus bonuses (games, goals, etc...).

This is an important step but not a decisive one since they still have to find an agreement with the involved parties. Santos own 40% of the player's contract, his family own another 40% and Doyen owns the remaining 20%. Juve have offered 18-20 million euros total for Gabigol a number that pleases Santos but does not please the player's family nor Doyen.

The magical number seems set at 25 million euros, a total that would please everybody (Santos, the family and Doyen). Gabigol recently said : "We will soon know more and make our decision". Juventus have been taking there time but they remained in contact with all the involved parties. The coming days should be important ....

Juventus, meeting with Lichtsteiner to discuss a possible contract extension...

Juventus and Lichtsteiner have met today to discuss a possible contract renewal since his current deal expires in 2017. Also, with the arrival of Dani Alves, the Swiss international wants to get some reassurances. Both parties seem ready to continue together as Juve are ready to have discussions concerning contract renewal. Lichtsteiner-Juve , the story will in all likeliness continue...

Juventus make an offer for Everton target Axel Witsel...

Juventus have made an 18-20 million euros offer for Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel but the Russian club do not find it high enough. Zenit have received a 30 million euros offer from Everton for the player meaning they would like to get more out of Juventus. Now that Juve are also on the player, Witsel is stalling Everton as he wants to see what Juventus will offer. Witsel's current contract expires in 2017  and Zenit would like to renew his deal but the Belgian midfielder does not intent to renew his contract. This is definitely something that plays in Juve and Everton's favor ....

Calciomercato.com

EXCLUSIVE...Juventus asked PSG about Matuidi and Verratti...

Juventus are targeting Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti, and mentioned as much to PSG in a recent meeting with the two clubs.

Our sources tell us that Mino Raiola organized the summit between the two clubs, in which the Ligue 1 Champions told the Bianconeri that Matuidi will cost them between €40 and €45 million, something which Juventus don't seem to be too game about, seeing as he's about to hit 30.

The Bianconeri are ready to make an offer of €30 million in the coming days, and it appears that serious talks can begin. The good news is that the French international has previously stated his desire to leave the club, and that could potentially force PSG to change their position.

It is unlikely to change with regards to Marco Verratti, whom Juventus asked about... only to be immediately rebuffed.

Juventus ask for Matuidi...

Reports suggest Juventus have made enquiries about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

The Bianconeri are on the verge of selling Paul Pogba to Manchester United for a world record fee, with the Turin club expected to get €110m, plus another €10m in bonuses.

According to calciomercato.com, the Old Lady are considering PSG man Matuidi as a replacement for his fellow French international.

Relations between the two clubs are frosty, not least because of Kingsley Coman’s free transfer to Juve.

However, Pogba and Matuidi share an agent, Mino Raiola, and he could be key in opening up negotiations.

If the Pogba deal goes through as expected, it will be beneficial for Juventus and Raiola, with the agent set to be paid around €20m by United.

Raiola could therefore look to cement his relationship with the Bianconeri by helping them to secure another of his clients.

It’s thought the Italian champions’ first offer will be €30m plus bonuses, but the Parisian side want at least €40m.

While that is within the Old Lady’s budget, general manager Giuseppe Marotta would be hesitant about spending such a fee on a midfielder who is almost 30.

A Juventus intermediary has already met with PSG, and also enquired about the availability of Marco Verratti.

Juve would have been willing to put serious money on the table for the playmaker they missed out on in 2012, but have been told in no uncertain terms that he’s not for sale.

In addition, Verratti himself has made it clear he has absolutely no intention of leaving Paris this summer.

Juventus are weighing up making a move for Tottenham forward Christian Eriksen, 24, who has rejected the offer of a new contract.

Eriksen – who earns around £30,000 a week – wants to become one of the top earners at White Hart Lane and is looking for a pay rise of around £50,000 a week.

The Denmark international is out of contract at the end of next season and the Italian giants could use some of their windfall from Paul Pogba to make a move.

Juve eye Gustavo alternative...

Juventus have found yet another candidate for their midfield as they eye Wolfsburg's Luiz Gustavo.

The Bianconeri are spinning a roulette wheel of midfielders on the market, with Axel Witsel recently reported to be at the top of the club's preferences.

However, Calciomercato.it are adding one more candidate to the list, as Wolfsburg's Luiz Gustavo could end up being the one to join the Old Lady.

The 29-year-old would be less expensive than Witsel, coming at €20m rather than the €25m requested by Zenit St Petersburg.

Benfica or Leverkusen for Hernanes...

Juventus midfielder Hernanes wants to stay in Europe, with Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen and Besiktas options.

The Brazilian joined the Bianconeri from Inter last summer, but appears to be surplus to requirements after a difficult first season in Turin.

After potentially lucrative moves to China and the United Arab Emirates were rejected, it seems clear that Hernanes wants to continue his career in Europe.

According to Tuttosport, the Old Lady are still determined to sell and are in contact with German side Bayer Leverkusen, Portuguese giants Benfica and Besiktas of Turkey.

Zenit coach reveals Juventus target’s desire to leave...

Despite featuring in the opening round of the Russian Premier League, Axel Witsel is voicing his desire to change allegiance...

Interest from Juventus has begun to take an effect on Axel Witsel, as the midfielder recently asked coach Mircea Lucescu to be left out of action for Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Saturday marked the beginning of the Russian Premier League as Zenit opened their domestic campaign against Lokomotiv Moscow, but the Belgian made a concerted effort to tell his new Romanian tactician that he didn’t want to take part.

Following the 0-0 stalemate at the Krestovsky Stadium, Lucescu hinted that the Belgian star could be on the verge of a forceful exit.

“Axel asked to leave,” said the Zenitchiki boss.

“He didn’t want to play against Lokomotiv even though he’s not injured. At one point I did have to add him and I needed his experience, but I repeat, Witsel wants to leave.”

Witsel went on to feature for the final 30 minutes of the match, but he has high hopes of eventually joining Juventus and is even considering paying some of the transfer fee himself.

Barcelona considering move for Juventus striker...

Mario Mandzukic only joined Juventus last summer, but could be on the move after the Bianconeri’s signing of Gonzalo Higuain...

As Barcelona continue their search for a striker to back-up their fearsome front three, the Blaugrana are considering a move for Juventus‘ Mario Mandzukic.

With Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar the undisputed starters up top, any player that makes the move to the Camp Nou will have to play second fiddle.

Barcelona’s original aim was to bring in a striker aged between 22 and 24, and they would have been willing to spend up to €20 million, but technical director Robert Fernandez has now turned his attention to someone with more experience.

That striker could come from Serie A, according to Mundo Deportivo, with AC Milan‘s Carlos Bacca and Mario Mandzukic both having been lined up.

Bacca is believed to have rejected a move to Catalonia as he holds out for a bid from Napoli, so the Blaugrana could instead focus on the 30-year-old Croatian.

The hope is that an experienced striker can come in and have a similar impact to that of Henrik Larsson during his spell in Barcelona from 2004 to 2006.

In the 2006 Champions League final, Larsson came off of the bench with Arsenal 1-0 ahead and provided both assists as Barcelona came back to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti.

After the signing of Gonzalo Higuain, Mandzukic is likely to be on the bench and could be enticed by a return to La Liga, where he played in 2014/15 with Atletico Madrid.

Juventus Play Hardball With AC Milan Over Zaza...

AC Milan are eager to sign Simone Zaza on loan from Juventus but the Bianconeri are insisting that they will only accept a permanent transfer for the full fee.

Current Rossoneri striker Carlos Bacca has been repeatedly linked with a move away while Juve now have less space up front following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani wants to sign Zaza for nothing on loan as the club lack the funds to work with as the situation surrounding the ownership is yet to be resolved.

The Bianconeri currently value the 25-year-old at €25 million with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg also interested and they do not want to do a favour for their rivals by settling for less.

Roma and West Ham United have also been linked with Zaza.

Inter To Go After Juventus Striker In Case Icardi Leaves...

Inter have included Juventus forward Simone Zaza in their shortlist as potential replacement for Mauro Icardi should he leave this summer.

The Nerazzurri are uncertain about Icardi’s future after the parties haven’t been able to reach an agreement about a new contract, amid latest interest from Napoli.

According to FC InterNews, Juventus could let their striker leave for a price around €25 million should Inter wish to go for a possible transfer.

Zaza joined Juventus last summer but might be inclined to leave the current Italian champions after only one season following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain.

However, Inter will have to come up with a good offer to lure Zaza away as there several other clubs in the race for his signature, both in Serie A and abroad.

Roma, AC Milan, West Ham United and German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have already expressed their interest in the Italian international, with the Germans previously placing a bid which was later being rejected.

The Rossoneri appear most likely to secure a deal for Zaza, however, after the player himself agreed a move.

Sky: Derby D’Italia for Gabigol?...

Inter have made an approach towards Juventus target Gabriel Barbosa.

“We have spoken with Inter, but to date we have not received any official offer from them” said Barbosa’s personal agent Wagner Ribeiro to Sky Sports.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio made a phone call to ascertain the value of the player and necessary costs. €25 million is the asking price for the 19 year-old Brazilian starlet.

Ausilio has connections with the player’s agents and the player himself. Kia Joorabchian and his agents (including Ribeiro) were contacted by the club after Ausilio’s go ahead to come to an understanding.

Juventus have an agreement with the player on the grounds of contract details, however, not with the club and agents. Gabigol’s father (who plays an integral role in the negotiations) is adamant that the player will only be transferred permanently and not on loan to a European club.

The attacker only wants to play first team football with assurance.

So far Juventus have not come forward with the €25 million, and Inter have not yet made an official approach either. Inter are reportedly willing to make a €30 million offer to beat out the Turin club. All parties await further developments between clubs.
