It was a 5 year guaranteed + 1-year option at a lesser wage than those two.

No blank check. Less than the other two. Mbappe doesn't like to be second fiddle, let alone third. That's the problem.

keep in mind that 30% of the transfer fee goes to Monaco as well. The revenue from 1 year of Neymar-Messi-Mbappe alone would basically be the same or more as 200 mil less 30%.

So financially, even if they cared about money, the offer has to be enormous to make a dent.

It's actually more profitable for them imo to keep Mbappe for 1 year and let him go for free. The only club that really loses in this scenario is Monaco.

Kinda rich Leonardo talking about what is illegal and wrong considering the owners of PSG aren't exactly the pinnacle of righteousness and virtue, you know, being an autocratic regime and all that.

Alas, I would agree with Sports, it'll be better for PSG to just reject Madrid's offers and let the contract run out. Who knows, Mbappe might change his mind (probably not, think the bridge has been burned beyond repair) and Mbappe would, more than likely, continue to be professional in all this.

The bottom line to me is it doesn’t matter what Leonardo says and possibly Nasser Al-Khelaifi as it is the Emir that is calling the shots. Perez apparently has been in direct talks with him.

Perez’s rebuttal is disputing almost everything Leonardo said and the club is calm. The player is insistent on the move and he also is professional enough to stay if they insist. Perez may slightly increase the offer, but no way he will meet what Leonardo is saying.

At this point, I rather wait until next year and damage this reputation that PSG has been projecting (fuck FFP and everyone, we can sign whoever we want and noone leaves until we are ready to do so).

I hope that's Flo's attitude... because it could easily blow up in his face lol.

If you're a deal maker, you never ever let time pass if you can lock up the deal now.  With time, people can change their minds for a million reasons you can think of and another ten million you would never think of.  Add to this general rule that you are dealing with a 22-year old ego-maniac football player who is French, playing in Paris and with Neymar and Messi as his attacking partners.

That said, I think Madrid makes the 220 million offer PSG is asking.

For 3 years you have called Perez cheap, unwilling to buy top talent, then when he talked about a Mbappe attempt you said where would the money come from. Then when he does raise the money from sales, your response is wait until next year!
