Overreacting much? He's not a stupid person. He's a witty businessman, if he runs the country as he runs his businesses then you're fine, really.

I hope he won't run the country like he runs his business. That would mean money-over-everything leaving behind many scammed people and lawsuits to spare. This time he has to see to the interest of a population instead of just his own.

Seriously... If he runs USA like his businesses then there's like 5% chance he doesn't bankrupt the country. Or best case scenario.. Give up after a year of not being succesful, which is his MO.

He only succeeded in the hotel business. A business that was paid for by his father and his name.

Trump doesn't have a father here to loan him money and say "it's okay, you can let my son buy that building, he's good for it"

Donaldo Trump isn't a "selfmade" businessman the way people imagine him to be. He got loans from his father (more than the milion he claims). His father already had casino's in USA and was one of the richest people in America. Donald Trump just decided to expand into building hotels into Manhattan. Something his father had not yet done.

That's not really a risk. A risk would be someone who achieved that without having the same father and opportunities and access to easy money.

I know he is more of a celebrity than a politican but please who are you to judge him before he even does anything.

We should give more credit to Donald Trump for destroying both Republican and Democratic establishment in one election.

Shows how irrelevant and out of touch the two party system has become, Trump hijacked the Republican Party and if the DNC didn't rig the primary in favor of Hillary, the general election would've been between two anti-establishment candidates.

You know who is also not an expert in running a country? Donald Trump.

Its a disaster not because he is a "republican". Republican or democrat, things can be done right.Its a disaster because he is a demagogue. He is a reflection of huge problems in american society and politics.

On one hand he can just be one more demagogue taking advantage of populism to gain power and all his promises are lies. On the other hand he may come through on his speeches and alienate massive parts of his population, creating discord and enhancing hate.

The whole thing is a disaster that will deeply affect his people. Something you might see if you weren't so busy with misguided political agendas, or trolling.

Trump in no way is anti-establishment. I have no idea why people believe this. He's as elitist as they come. He's a conservative republican who doesn't give a shit about the middle class. Trump has been a huge political donor throughout his life. He loves hanging out with celebrities and he's probably the biggest narcissist to ever run for an election.

Credit to him though. He somehow convinced millions of people that we was the opposite of what he actually is. Well, aside from being racist. That's something he's always been.

I would be happier if Trump actually seemed legitimately anti-establishment. Everything from the moment he won the election looks like same-old same-old.

Only appointing Steve Bannon is actually anti-establishment, but is that really the direction they should take?

He signed an executive order last night to gut Obamacare by stopping the individual mandate. He's getting started early.

I don't have Obamacare (I get my health insurance through the company I work for), but I do tend to think this was one of the worst parts of the law. I understand why it was necessary, but forcing people to get health care or pay a fine is just not a great way of going about getting people universal healthcare.

That said, this is the beginning of the end of Obamacare. It would be naive to think the GOP won't repeal it without replacing it. They're just going to repeal it.

He is antiestablishment. He's an outsider who hijacked the republican party with a message that on certain points betrays what they have stood for since at least the 70s (trade, infrastructure spending). The european politics equivalent would be a far-right populist party winning an outright majority.

Obamacare had to be reformed regardless of who won. The original intent was to fix it along the way but after 2010 the republicans went into full obstructionist mode and the only fix they would consider was repealing it. Hopefully they manage to turn out something cheaper that doesn't lose coverage for all and no discrimination against existing medical conditions (as Trump has stated).

Trump is anti-establishment in the sense that he has no loyalty to the Republican party and their platform, his views on border and immigration, rebuilding the infrastructure, protectionist stance on trade, opposition to NAFTA, and non-interventionism on foreign policy are in direct conflict with what Republicans stand for.

I tend to agree with Pedram. Trump does have a documented history of donations to the Clintons, prior to his foray into politics. He's not exactly the shining beacon of conservatism. I think he might even be capable of something resembling liberal tendencies, depending on the topic. He's not a traditional politician so I'm not sure he's always going to make choices based on the favor of the people who elected him, unlike most of Congress. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him go his own way on certain topics.

Having said that, he's still incredibly dangerous with the amount of power he now has.

You don't see marches as big as the one in Washington and around this country as well as in other country if it were otherwise.

I understand if women in third world countries who are really being oppressed and are really the ones who find themselves in need of equal rights stand up and march.

Do women need better rights? Hell yeah. Do men also need better rights? Yes. One doesn't exclude the other.

But the matter of the fact is that a guy who bragged about sexual assaulting a women just was sworn in as a president. A man who has a huge history of demeaning talk and rhetoric against women.

Also the whole Planned Parenthood thing. There's so much wrong with how the government is keeping women from getting medical help regarding their pregnancies.

Just because a lot of guys are like that, doesn't make it okay tbh. I have never in my life experienced anyone talk like that about girls in my group of friends or anyone I've talked about personal stuff with.

Theres a reason women around the world are protesting today. It would be in your best interest to at least, earnestly, listen to their viewpoint. Every woman is not making things up as they go.

There's a reason 53% of white women voted for Trump, I suggest it would be in your best interest to at least, earnestly, listen to their viewpoint. And most non white women voted against him for different reasons.

It would seriously help to stay in touch with reality, this stuff isn't really about women at its core.
