Is it outside the realms of possibility that Liverpool are going to make Coutinho stay until next summer like they did with Suarez and sell him next summer?

Keita comes in ready to replace him, different players obviously but I imagine the role would be similar.

if that quote about them trying to sign Lemar this window is true then Coutinho is gone now or Jan IMO, probably just trying to get in a replacement

haven't watched him play outside of a few CL matches, where he wasn't exactly impressive, Sports said he has potential IIRC but had some holes in his game, at least I think it was him that said that. Probably not good enough to fill Coutinho's boots.

No one will fill Coutinho's boots exactly imo. We'll get a couple of players to work out the entire midfield now.

Interesting because (I thought) we were after CM not wingers.

Lemar is interesting a lot of teams because a lot of teams think they can convert him into a CM/AM, not saying it's a sure fire thing but I suspect that's what Klopp would want him for tbh.

His potential versatility is very attractive to a lot of teams.

Same for us, from what I've read. We're not after wingers but wanted Lemar because he could apparently play centrally as well. From what I've seen of him he does tend to tuck in and play narrow a lot. Maybe doesn't have the explosive pace to a pure winger.

We've had bids rejected and have given up because Wenger thinks Monaco won't sell. In reality they probably will, just for a higher price than what we were offering (which was £50m iirc).

I thought it was between 55 and 60

Maybe Monaco would accept 60 then.

Lemar is a CAM/AM for all intents and purposes with Monaco.  He's a better passer and creator than Coutinho out of the midfield.  He doesn't try to score as much... If you're looking for a scorer, he's not the guy. If you have scorers and need someone to get them the ball, he is.

At the moment, Ox is going, Mustafi is going and we're signing no one.

If we stick with a back three (which I don't think we will since we've sold off two centre backs), we'll probably end up playing Reiss Nelson as RWB at times. He's an 18 year old winger/forward, but he played wing back against some Aussie part timers in preseason so he's perfect.

That must be some kind of misunderstanding, because according to many trustworthy reports here he has a clause of something like 54m € next summer.
So Liverpool would not need to agree a fee, especially not one that is higher than the clause

That won't fly at all.  Monaco have Falcao, Jovetic, Adama Diakhaby and Carrillo right now and are making a move for Dolberg. Origi makes no sense and isn't better.

Willing to bet he'll do well at Chelsea, mainly outside of Hazard they have very little on the team who can commit people.

He's an explosive dribbler and will beat players for fun, especially on the counter. Every now and then he'll put in a good cross, too. Everything else about his game is really raw, though. Maybe under more rigid instructions he'll be better at Chelsea, because he certainly didn't much with the freedom he was afforded with us.

Obviously has talent but being brainless...it's useless.

Depends really on the team and the positions said player is put into.
