Makes sense. Gigi seems like he doesn't want to stop.
PSG can offer him a chance to keep playing at a high level.They need a good and experienced keeper and hopefully they will pay him well.
For me the ideal scenario would be Gigi stays with us as part of Marotta's and Nedved's team.
It wouldn't be acceptable for him and fans to be a second choice keeper here and he already said he won't play for us next season.

Does it matter? If Pirlo, Nesta etc went to play in America why can't Buffon join a league of similar level?

bad look on Juve IMO to let a player synonymous with your club join a team of similar caliber, if he didn't want to retire yet you should have offered him another contract and kept him rotating or something. It's almost like seeing Totti join Man City.

Not really, we wouldn't even extend Del Piero in worse circumstances
You don't think it would be a worse look to extend him now after signing Szczesny last summer with him, Buffon and everyone's understanding that he would be the #2 for a season and start for us from next season on

When Man United can let their greatest player in history join a club of a similar level (since you've been midtable for years) why should this be treated any different
