Juve await CR7 all-clear
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are staying silent on Cristiano Ronaldo until Real Madrid confirm they’ll release him for €100m, but the Spaniards want his public declaration.

Italian bookies have suspended bets on CR7 wearing the Bianconeri jersey this season, as they are so confident the deal will be done.

The timing is proving to be an issue, largely because of the tense situation between Ronaldo and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.

According to multiple sources, including Marca, AS, the Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, the Merengues want him to come out and state he wants this departure, not that he was forced out.

Marca even suggest Real Madrid want him to sign a confidentiality clause barring the player from giving his version of events in future.

This is something the 33-year-old is not prepared to do.

Nonetheless, agent Jorge Mendes remains confident he can smooth out the situation and Ronaldo should make his statement via social media rather than in a Press conference.

Mendes is also sure the price will be €100m, as agreed in January, despite reports Real Madrid could jack it up to €120-150m.

The key for Juve is giving Real Madrid and Ronaldo time to make it a smooth transition and not rush it through.

Having said that, nobody told Ronaldo’s marketing team, as the Allianz Juventus Stadium appears in the background of the new Italian language version of the site, while the website advertising Ronaldo’s underwear range has a prominent photograph of the player standing in front of black and white stripes.

Agnelli: "Ronaldo will soon be done"

07 July at 13:40

Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli reportedly told a waiter during a dinner that a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo will be done soon.

The Portuguese superstar is said to be willing to leave Real Madrid this summer, with Juventus already having made an offer of 100 million euros to sign him. The forward is ready to join Juventus this summer.

El Chiringuito believe that in a dinner yesterday that involved Pavel Nedved and Andrea Agnelli recently, a waiter had ended up asking the Juve CEO about the Ronaldo deal, to which Agnelli had replied: "Soon, it will all be done."

The story aired on one of Spain's most prominent broadcast outlets- La Sexta and it is an indication of the fact that the deal is close and Juventus are confident of signing Ronaldo this summer.

Juve must pay Ronaldo commission
By Football Italia staff

Juventus would have to pay €120m for Cristiano Ronaldo, as €100m goes to Real Madrid and €20-25m to agent Jorge Mendes, it’s reported.

According to Sport Mediaset, Mendes has agreed to ensure Real Madrid stand by the gentlemen’s agreement signed in January to let CR7 go to a non-rival club for €100m.

In return, the representative would receive €20-25m in various commissions.

It’s certainly not the first time that Juve have been made to pay massive commissions for players signed at relatively cheap prices.

Mino Raiola got a huge cut when Paul Pogba went from free agent to €105m sale to Manchester United, while this summer Emre Can cost around €16m in commission fees even when his contract with Liverpool had expired.

If these figures are correct, Cristiano Ronaldo would cost at least €120m, perhaps up to €150m, not to mention the €30m per year net salary he wants over a four-year contract.

Juve-Ronaldo, Real Madrid have told local stores to stop stamping CR7 jerseys

07 July at 21:15
According to reports from Madrid (via IlBianconero), Real Madrid have told their main local store to not stamp any other Cristiano Ronaldo jerseys (except if a client specifically asks for one). This should be viewed as a clear sign that Ronaldo will soon be leaving los blancos in days to come. Juve want to be prudent as they don't want to talk on the matter but a deal is inching closer and closer. You can view a tweet on the matter bellow right here on Calciomercato.com.

Did Juve tease Ronaldo move?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus posted a video on Weibo showing the various players who wore the Number 7 jersey, leading to speculation it was a Cristiano Ronaldo hint.

The clip runs through six famous names who took that shirt in Turin, but cuts off before the seventh.

They were Angelo Di Livio, Gianluca Pessotto, Hasan Salihamidzic, Simone Pepe, Simone Zaza and current occupant Juan Cuadrado.

This has sparked rumours it was an early version of the video to announce the arrival of CR7 from Real Madrid, tested out on Chinese social media tool Weibo.

However, it’s also entirely possible this was a coincidence, as today is the seventh day of the seventh month.

Juventus all but confirm signing of Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus mistakenly published a video on Chinese platform Weibo suggesting that a new player will wear number 7 for them next season, all but confirming the signing of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Italian club soon deleted the video but several users proved that it was published for a short amount of time.

Furthermore, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes told Juve’s directors that Ronaldo will join the club next Tuesday, according to a report from SportsMediaset.

Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be set to leave Real Madrid after nine successful seasons and his departure to Juventus could be announced as early as next week. The Italian side will pay around €100 million for his transfer and Ronaldo would get a four-year contract of €30 million/year.

Ronaldo and Real Madrid could not reach an agreement over a salary raise for the Portuguese player and this ended up bothering the Portuguese star, who felt he deserved to earn as much as Neymar and Messi even though the club argued that he’s 33 years old and still had three years left on his current deal.

If Ronaldo finally leaves Madrid, expect president Florentino Perez to go after a big star to replace him in the starting lineup.

Ronaldo and Juve set the date
By Football Italia staff

Real Madrid could announce Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure on Tuesday, paving the way for his €100m transfer to Juventus.

According to Mediaset Premium, the decisive day will be on July 10, when President Florentino Perez is set to chair a Board meeting.

At that event, he is expected to confirm Cristiano Ronaldo has requested a transfer.

Multiple sources in Italy and Spain continue to state Perez wants Ronaldo to make it clear in public that he is the one pushing for a move in order to seek a new challenge.

That is a non-negotiable part of the deal if they are to let him go at the cut price of €100m.

Meanwhile, the move will cost a lot more than that for Juventus, as agent Jorge Mendes is commanding €20-25m commission for brokering the transfer.

Add in the €30m per year net salary that Ronaldo is asking for and the Ballon d’Or winner will break the bank – but also bring in a huge amount through sponsorships, increased merchandising sales and general brand visibility all over the globe.

It is reported that Juventus target Cristiano Ronaldo has turned down an unnamed Chinese club, despite them offering him wages of €100m-per-season.
The Portuguese appears to be on the verge of joining the Old Lady from Real Madrid, with only a couple of details remaining to be ironed out between the two clubs.
However, Marca claims this did not stop a Chinese Super League club from making an audacious late offer to lure Ronaldo to the Far East.
The Spanish sports daily believes the unnamed club offered the 33-year-old a two-year contract on astronomical wages of €100m-per-season.
Despite the lucrative financial rewards on offer, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is said to have rejected the offer without hesitation.
Madrid President Florentino Perez is thought to be prepared to allow his club’s all-time record goalscorer to leave this summer, although Ronaldo must publically admit full responsibility for the decision if he wants to depart.

Real Madrid will accept €100 million offer for Ronaldo

08 July at 14:30
Real Madrid have reportedly accepted Juventus 100 million euros offer for Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

It has been reported that Ronaldo is set to move away from Real Madrid this summer, with Juventus already having made an offer of 100 million euros for him. The former Manchester United is willing to join the bianconeri this summer.

Tuttosport say that Florentino Perez feels that the 100 million euros offer is good enough for the Old Lady to sign Ronaldo.

Mendes has reportedly got the approval from Perez for the fee, with Ronaldo currently holidaying in Greece but is expected to land in Turin early next week.

Mendes will present Juve's offer of 100 million euros to Perez on Tuesday and that will be a decisive day in the negotiations.

How many CL’s with Higuain?  Zero. We need to fix that problem first. With the greatest #9 in history I think we’ve solved that problem.

As for our midfield we’ve already acquired Can. That allows Khedira to have a nice bench role, so again we’ve solved another problem. Bentancur looked really good in a starting role with Uruguay, so he may get significantly more playing time this year than last year. Matuidi is still a good player as a pure DM. He starts for France.

It would be great if we could acquire both Ronaldo and Sergej. But that isn’t going to happen. If we get another midfielder that would be great. I like Rabiot myself and he wants to leave PSG with one more year left on his contract. Not sure if they will sell him though.

Ronaldo, Can, Cancelo, Perin, Caldara. That’s a really good mercato right there. Probably the best we’ve ever had considering we are buying the best player in the world. I’d be satisfied if we didn’t purchase anyone else although we’ll need a backup for Sandro and also a replacement for Rugani if he is sold to Chelsea along with Higuain.

It's not that we have a bad midfield as it is right now.
I am very positive when it comes to Emre Can , I think he'll do very well here and take Khedira's place (if Allergi let's him do so lol)
Bentancur is developing quite well as gigi said. Plus we have Pjanic and Matuidi.
We have slightly improved our midfield compared to last year. Now we have more options so we can easily rotate. I still hope Marchisio recovers and earns a starting spot.
If not then we must offload 1 between him , Khedira or Sturaro (ofc Sturaro must be first on that list).

Right now there are not much rumors about a new midfielder but I'm sure if CR7 deal completes we will evaluate options for another midfielder.

Another thing to consider is by signing Ronaldo we automatically weaken our biggest competitor in the Champions League. Without Ronaldo and Zidane Real Madrid will most likely take a back seat to the competition over the next few years until they rebuild again. I know some posters and RM fans in the general section will tell you differently, that it was Modric, Bale and Kroos who won them 3 CL's in a row and Ronaldo only played a minor role, but they are just saying that to downplay the significance of their loss.

Remember when Ronaldo is on the pitch everyone is aware of him and must guard him at all times. This frees up players like Modric, Kroos, Bale, Isco and even Benzema to do their thing. When they say Ronaldo is not influential in big games, that is not true, as evidenced by his destruction of Juventus in Torino last year. Sure, Ronaldo may not influence every game, neither does Messi, or Del Piero, Dybala, Neymar, etc. That's why you have 10 players on the pitch plus the goalie at all times. It's a team sport, but when you have a player like Ronaldo, the other team always has to pay attention to him foremost, and secondly all it takes is a few seconds of absolute magic from him to completely turn the game around.

Anyways, that is my take on Ronaldo and what his signing can mean to Juve. Factor in all his experience in the biggest games and what a marketing bonanza it will be to have his name on the Juve jersey and it's a no brainer to sign him for a total cost of upwards of $350 million. Juve will actually recoup all this money and more, as Ronaldo can be the face of Juve and Ferrari well into his 50's, even after he retires. Jordan still has a contract with Nike and the #23 Bulls shirt is still the most popular one out there. In my opinion, the #7 Juve jersey with Ronaldo on the back will still be selling like hotcakes well after Ronaldo retires. He is a legend and arguably the greatest ever. He could cement his place in history as THE greatest ever if he leads Juventus to Champions League glory.

Former Juventus Coach Marcello Lippi expects Cristiano Ronaldo to ‘attract other champions’ to the Scudetto holders.
Ronaldo’s proposed transfer to Juve appears to be growing ever closer, and Lippi believes the Real Madrid superstar will let his former club move up a level.
“There are some intelligent players at Juve, and they know very well that Ronaldo can’t be signed like other players,” he told Radio Anch’io Sport.
“The economic aspect [of his transfer] becomes the last of the problems. He’ll play at great levels for another 3-4 years, so we must be happy about that.
“If he arrives, he’ll also attract other champions. Where will he play? He’s a forward and has an exceptional success rate in front of goal.”

____

Lippi can't be wrong.
Having a player of Ronaldo's profile will make it easier to attract players from outside Italy.
I think Dybala will also raise up his level next to him.He wants to be the best and he'll have a chance to play with one of the best players of our time.

Can't wait for a Costa-CR7-Dybala trio in attack with Pjanic also reaching 20 assists to Kommander.

The way CR7 positions himself into the box and his aerial game I wouldn't be surprised if Pjanic and/or Costa reach 15-20 assists next year.

Mendes presents Juventus offer
By Football Italia staff

Reports in Spain suggest Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has officially informed Real Madrid of Juventus’ bid for his client.

There is a gentleman’s agreement that CR7 will be allowed to leave for €100m, as long as it’s not to a direct rival.

The Bianconeri are ready to take advantage of that, having already agreed on a contract with the Portuguese superstar.

All that remains to be seen is whether Merengues President Florentino Perez will respect the agreement, which isn’t legally binding.

According to El Chiringuito, Mendes has officially presented the Juve offer to Perez, who must now either accept it or turn it down.

If it’s accepted, Ronaldo can fly to Turin to complete his move to the Old Lady.

Meanwhile, Cadena Cope reports that CR7 has already spoken with Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri, with the Bianconeri hoping to close the deal in the next week.

At first it seemed like it was almost done and the presentation set at 07/07.
Now if we don't get any official news in two days from now it will probably happen after WC so Perez can try and confirm players to replace CR7. Many of their possible targets are still at WC (Mbappe,Hazard,Kane, Icardi...)

Icardi has stated he wants to stay at Inter. Kane just signed a 6 year extension. PSG isn't selling their star French player for less than $300 million. All that is left for Real Madrid is Eden Hazard.

If they want they can have Higuain for $50 million... Laughing

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a €40m deal with Juventus for Daniele Rugani, at the request of incoming Coach Maurizio Sarri.
The defender worked with the former Napoli boss at Empoli, and was considered to be one of the most promising defenders in Italy.
However, he has failed to earn a regular starting spot in Turin, and Premium Sport is now reporting that a deal is done with the Blues.
The Premier League side will pay €40m to sign Rugani, having been pushed to do so by Sarri.
That would also seem to indicate that Chelsea are finally close to agreeing a compensation package with Napoli to release the Coach from his contract.

Thank god for Sarri. This guy can bring us 100m for Ronaldo while with the rest of money we get from Cerri,Mandragora etc we can buy another top CM.

Reports: CR7 set for Juventus
By Football Italia staff

Multiple reports state that Real Madrid have accepted Juventus’ €100m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Bianconeri appear to be on the verge of pulling off a sensational move for the Portuguese superstar, who has already agreed a €30m contract.

It’s thought some of that fee will be paid through sponsorships by Juve’s parent company Exor, which owns the likes of FIAT and Ferrari.

The only sticking point was whether Los Merengues would stick to a gentleman’s agreement to accept €100m, rather than CR7’s €1bn release clause.

Now El Chiringuito is reporting that Juventus’ offer has been accepted, and Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid.

Both Juve President Andrea Agnelli and the player himself are in Greece today, while Jorge Mendes is expected to fly out later today.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio is also reporting that a €100m offer will be acceptable to the Spanish side, after which it's simply a matter of time before Ronaldo arrives in Turin.

The Sky Italia journalist reports that Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, Juve's general manager and sporting director, are in Milan awaiting the go-ahead from Mendes.

Spanish newspaper Marca is also reporting that an offer has been accepted, and Agnelli has been given permission to speak to Ronaldo.

Agnelli arrives for Ronaldo meeting
By Football Italia staff

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli is believed to have arrived in a helicopter to meet Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Bianconeri President flew to Greece earlier today on his private jet, with the Portuguese superstar on holiday there.

Following reports that Madrid have accepted a €100m bid for CR7, Sportitalia is now broadcasting video of a helicopter arriving at the resort where the 33-year-old is staying.

According to correspondent Carmine Russo, the helicopter is carrying Agnelli, who has flown in to seal the deal with Ronaldo.

Once Madrid give the go-ahead, Ronaldo and Agnelli can return to Italy with agent Jorge Mendes.

He is expected to meet the pair in Greece, though in the last hour a private jet from Madrid has landed at Rome’s Ciampino airport.
