RVP deserves absolutely,in general ! he's arsenal's :king: imo

would like it to be RVP....but cause of his fitness problem....you never know what could or would happen....

and Even Verm isn't fully fit yet.....and could have reoccurring injuries

Sagna an't a captain/leader type.....neither is Arshavin (even though he is Russian Capt)

Rosický could be a good leader.....

Ramsey could be one in the future...as he is currently Wales atm....at such a young age...

Willy will definitely be one for the future

Ramsey is only captain of Wales because Speed pretty much had no other alternative. I don't think he's the leader type and neither does Wenger.

Wilshere should stay clear of any sort of captaincy until he's older. He might have the passion and drive but he needs more experience in order to mature a bit more.

Besides that, he's already under enormous pressure because of how well he's perofrming at such a young age and how Capello plans to build the national team around him. He doesn't need the added pressure that comes with being Arsenal captain.

The candidate list is short but if pre-season is anything to go by the pecking order is van Persie then Vermaelen. Van Persie is vice-captain anyway and will take on the role full time when Fabregas leaves. Whenevr van Persie hasn't played this pre-season though Vermaelen has had the armband, despite the likes of Rosicky and Arshavin being on the field.

I know someone who shouldn't be captain: Samir Nasri. He's been given the armband a few times last year and him getting it would just be an attempt to get him to stay at the club.

but he was a great leader. No one dared to put a foot out of line. Also, you say it like Verminator isn't courageous and smart!

Do you think having Vermaelen as our captain, would make things work out better with our defense.I know RVP will be captain, which he truly deserve.

Fab will still be captain next season trust me.

I was inclined to go Verminator, but, RVP has been at the club so long, gives so much, is very passionate; so i go with RVP.

you misunderstood me. I said you people know your players better. you sounded like yelling and commanding were everything. if he is smart on top of being bad guy why not?? hehehe

if rvp is fit he is the captain and when he is injured i would make vermaelan the captain.

RvP deserves it more, but Vermaelen is the better leader.

I'd say give it to RvP for seniority and make Vermaelen vice captain.

Wilshere is going to definitely hold that armband in the future, though.
