And its funny seeing Cesc in every formation made by Barca fans.

He used to be called a bench warmer for Spain.

What a funny world.

I have to rate Khaled's blind optimism for all Barca youths haha.....

Grimaldo looks top notch though already playing for Barca B at 15....

I dont see how in 5 years or so, he isnt a starter.

In the OP, Cesc was mentioned.

But who else in midfield?

If the isnt better then Cazorla I will be shocked.

Who else? Canales?
in 5 years i see this being Spain's and Barca's midfield

Iniesta-----Cesc
----Busquets---

In 5 years Iniesta will be like 33, Thiago would be 25. Thiago I am pretty sure would be better at eaches stage in their careers.

With Xavi in his final years, Thiago does not have much to worry about as he will actually get more chances then Cesc did at his age as he just recently received on against Italia.

Thiago chose Espana because thats where his heart is as he's repeated how he is raised as a spaniard (or catalan) and wants the furia roja apps.

Isn't that whats playing for your country about? playing for where your heart lies?

Brazil or Italy both would have been a good decision.

But the best decision was made already as he will thrive with us and doesn't have all the pro-catalan independence issues that some do within our team.

I have to thank his daddy.

if that was the best for his career is questionable,as i wrote,he will spend most of the time on the bench, for both club and NT.

He will play for both, he is all round attacker, can play in mid, on wings, as false 9... Xavi is getting older, Iniesta can play on wings, Fabregas can play as false 9... so he will play, there is enaugh room for him.
Cazorla could be left out for Euro2012 becouse of Thiago...

On the end, he has balls big like tits, (what Iniesta needs to win Golden ball). And most important thing is that he knows what he can do.

Not seen enough to really conclude either way.

From what I see, I see a Rivaldo type (not in style) in that you wont ever seen him interupt the job of the midfield like a Riquelme, but you wont mistake him for a second striker either. Somewhere in the midle.

But again, limited viewing and we will have to see.

Brazil can fit him in easily if that was the concern though, set positions really dont matter with them historically.

He is of Brazilian descent, born in Italy, and raised in Spain. I sympathize, given that I am of Italian descent, born in the UK, and raised in Argentina. Like him, I would choose to play for the place where I was raised.

He considers himself Spanish, so he plays for Spain.

No need to overcomplicate things.

Thiago is from Vigo, Galicia and he said that vigo is his home town. So he isn't Catalan

He was and still is a bench warmer for Spain. But we are talking about 5 YEARS in the future  and I doubt that he will be a bench warmer by then..

Your home is the place you think of when you hear the word home, For me that is my Grandparents place in New Zealand, the longest I have lived there for is two weeks. However, I stayed there a lot as a kid and love the place.

My point is, you don't have to spend most of your time at home otherwise many people would call their work home.

If Thiago felt that Spain was his home and chose to play for their NT then that is his home.

Can someone tell me how Rafa is better then Thiago?

And don't give me that age BS because Thiago at Rafa's age was better anyway.

Thiago is hailed as the successor to Xavi.

Rafinha is immensely talented but not enough to convince me he will be on Thiago's level.

Aryton senna said his nephew is faster then him, does that mean he was?

Thaigo and his daddy are simply being good family to Rafa.

I don't know if Rafinha will develop into a better player than Thiago, but it is possible. I disagree that he is showing less than Thiago at same age. At 18 Thiago was mostly under radar and wasn't bossing Barça B. Rafinha was the best player in Juvenil A (that won everything) last season and this season he seems set to boss Barça B. Already scored two goals in 2 matches in second division.

They are quite different though. Rafinha is much less flashy than Thiago, he has a more "European" style of playing and is stronger and taller, maybe slightly less technical.

Funny how the more "european" player will choose Brasil and the other more "brasilian" choosed Spain.

Thiago was absolutely right to choose Spain imo.

Yes, he spent quite a bit of time in Brazil and even got his footballing start there, but his big break came from his time in Spain. He's obviously a lot more comfortable there and so it's only natural that he would choose that nation as the one to represent.

I agree with his decision, if you feel like a Spaniard, play for Spain. Ballotelli and Welbeck have declined to play for Ghana even though they were born to Ghanaian parents, and I respect their decision. They just don't feel Ghanaian, so what is the point playing for Ghana. I wish Thiago luck in the Spanish NT.
