I am not the type that likes writing articles to pass my point through but I guess I have to do that now so you can have a better ideal of what I am talking about, since you can not figure it out yourself.

First of all I will like to draw a distinction between a players ability(Goalkeeping skills, attribute, ability. etc) and a players achievement(Winning tittles, Appearance, Cap, name etc).

Achievement
We all know that Casilas has achieved a lot playing with one of the greatest football team of all time(Madrid) and as a result he has won some tittle with madrid and Numerous tittle with Spain(Barcelona). However it is debatable that Madrid should have won more tittles than they have won in the last 8 years considering the huge amount of money they spent over the last years.

Casilas has played for Madrid for quite a long time now, and as a result it is expected that he should have more tittles to his name than Neuer, he won numerous tittle with Spainish national team, filled with Barcalona world-class players.

Personally like someone said even Julio Ceaser would have won all those tittles if he happens to have played for Spain National team for that long, as well as Madrid and people will consider him a legend based on the tittle he has won.(Fair enough)

On the other hand Neuer is far behind Casilas in terms of achievement, name, appearance and such and such. Most of his career Neuer has played for a team that is relatively unknown to many,(Schalke) when compared to madrid and perhaps one level or even 2 level below Madrid class but yet he has managed to excell and built a good name for himself, he has recieved praises from some of football legends like Sir Alex Ferguson, Kaiser, Boffun and Kahn.

Alex Ferguson describe his Goalkeeping ability as the best he has seen during his time as a manager.

Kaiser compared his goalkeeping ability to Messi's, as outfield players.

To cut the long story short, Casilas is a great Goalkeeper, he has achieved a lot over the past years, the whole world knows this, I know it and I am not disputing on that and I dont need you to prove it to me that he has achieve more than Neuer.

But when it comes down to Goalkeeping ability, from what I have seen I think Neuer has surpassed Casilas Goalkeeping ability even when he was at his peak but Neuer has definitely not surpass his achievement, we already know that and he might probably never surpas Casilas Achievement.

Interms of achievement Casilas has achieve more than legendary goalkeepers like Kahn and Peter Schmeichel but that does not make him as good as those goalkeepers in terms of their ability.
