that was an amazing goal. ozil at madrid won't have scored that, he'd have looked for a way to pass it...that showed calm in front of goal, you have time to beat the goalie and the other defenders, no need to rush, tak your time. good goal. i've seen maradona messi and r9 score similar goals....sergio canales too

it drives me nuts when players have the chance to lob/chip the goalie, go around him, fake him into a decision, and calmly finish with no obstruction and instead choose to go for a snap shot that the goalie can just end up spreading himself and luckily save it....

its about presence of mind (an underrated skill ), you have time, you can dribble the goalie, fake defenders out and still order some pancakes, chicken n waffles, scrambled eggs, medium hot chocolate and wash all that down with a diet coke , and still end up scoring. a snap shot might just end up making the keeper look better than he actually is...nice to see him score goals. he didn't seem to trust himself from a scoring standpoint whilst at madrid
