From what I can see the odds are 1/7 for Ronaldo to win. I suppose this means you get 1 Euro for every 7. For € 100k I'd get about € 14k then. Don't know about fees, taxes etc. but if about half of that remains as net profit that's still quite easy money printing tbh. Wonder if betting companies have to accept such large sums though. Can't you skin them by just betting large sums on dead certainties like "Chelsea making top 4", "Bayern making top 4", "Barca making top 4" etc. or am I missing something?

That is a good question.
I have no idea, I'd guess though that the fees you have to pay would maybe cancel it out to the most degree?
And who knows, maybe entities with a lot of money are doing that already?
Or rather, they have their own place for that where their odds are even better and more rigged/controllable, it's called the stock market

In any case, for mere mortals like us it's not really worth the trouble, because are you really going to opt out of your life insurance/sell your car,tv,computer, to bet 10000 € on *bleep* Ronaldo to get a thousand Euro for it?

Well you can make one from the whoscored list, it's based on over 200 statistics.

My point is more that they don't even seem to properly compare goalies among other goalies as even there they seem to use the same criteria as used for outfield players.

IMO they need to set up a completely different set of criteria for goalies and then rank and mark them according to these - and then derive their marks from that set. If they balance the criteria properly, then the marks should be comparable to the outfield players' marks in the end.

As always these lists never please everybody and some who should be included miss out with some included a bit unfairly due to name, reputation, popular vote, blah blah blah, but i think this years isnt that bad compared with some other years.

I think its great to see quite many new names in there and younger players too.

I really think a German will be included so it will probably be Ronaldo, Messi/a German
