The funniest thing though is that fans thing booing or jeering their own players or attacking them after the game is going to make them perform better. In most cases with these self-centered, thick headed players like say Ronaldo and Bale it might even make them play worse. It certainly isn't helping anything.

Look at the formation you suggested? Bale playing in the hole behind the strikers? The guy hasn't shown the ability to consistently link up with his forwards and now you want him to be the link between midfield and attack?

A guy whose passing is beyond average?
A guy who doesn't have the ability to work in tight spaces?
A guy whose decision making is pathetic?
A guy who doesn't know how to balance his offensive duties with his defensive duties?

You want Real Madrid to rely on THAT?

He doesn't even know how to play as a part of a midfield 4 and you want him to play in the hole?

Clearly doesn't understand the spur. This isn't spurs where he walk all game and take 9 shots per game and hope for a wonder goal. I don't expect Bale to play like a typical 10, no. I would expect that he would play like a deeper striker that swaps with Benzema who acts as the real link to the midfield. Kroos playing deeper while Modric and Isco link up with Benzema as the main creative forces on the side leaving Ronaldo and Bale to focus on finding space and finishing. The thing is it also leaves Bale the ability to drift a little bit more and have a bit more freedom to move and be found. If you're going to isolate him though to a flank it should be the left and not the right for the lack of technical ability and the comfort.

booing of players especially when the players do have the desire to win never works. its not going to make them play better, it'll only make em play worse. bale's performance or in this case lack thereof is ancelotti's call, either bench the guy and let him come on as a sub, that way he gets to watch and understand what we are trying to do, or move him out to the left, that way he's not tasked with being selfish and attempting cut ins or dribbles, not to mention, he might just combine well with marcelo. the issue with that is obviously cristiano, who i'm not sure would like to move to a center forward role, even though that's basically what he is....he hasn't been an atypical winger in years.

Of all of Madrid midfielders or forwards, Bale is the probably the very last one I would put as a 10. Only Hernandez is a worst choice.

Kroos, Modric, James, Isco, Benzema and even Cristiano I would rather play there.

What I'm saying is that if he is 'undroppable' because of his pricetag why wouldn't you want to play him where he is more likely to succeed (on the left, or in a free role in the middle insulated by other playmakers)? That's all. He obviously doesn't have the confidence or form of last year, and is struggling mightily to keep pace (lol) with the rest of the RM squad and La Liga in general now. Carlo is probably being stubborn, but sometimes (as we saw with Liverpool's change in form) switching things up is the right way to go when things are not working.

TBF they are the biggest club on the planet and the most expensive squad in football history. They have a right to be entitled tbh. They are the ones paying money to watch Bale run like a hamster. Bale is just not good enough for Madrid or La Liga. The kick and rush in the EPL will be like fresh air to him.

One woukd think Bale is a scrub by reading things here but he's a very goid player. he doensnt fit Real but so did Kaka and countless players at countless clubs. Bale at Spurs was a tier below WC level imo.

Kaka was almost done by the time he got to Real and the little bit that he had left he saved up for the national team. What a guy!

he was 27 and 2 years before he was BO. How was he finished ? injuries was a big problem for him yes but even fit he was lost on the pitch

Like you said, injuries. And even when fit he still didn't have that acceleration that he used to have. But I get your point about how players sometimes aren't a good fit for their teams.
