Bild reports that Manchester United are considering BVB veteran Kevin Grosskreutz (27), whose contract ends in 2016, as an alternative to Pedro.

LvG highly rates the famously versatile midfielder ever since Grosskreutz's strong showings in both BVB wins over Bayern in van Gaal's last season in Bundeliga, and would be willing to spend 20m € for the player.

I can't believe LvG thinks we need Grosskreutz right now. What's wrong with the dutchman? We should concentrate on the priorities. A top class central back and a prolific striker is what we need, otherwise we don't have a chance to compete for the EPL title.

Pff and if De Gea leaves, I hope we'll sign another GK cause Romero's 2nd name is Trouble. Not that I have a problem with the Argentinian, I think he can be decent in domestic cups for us.

Gerson only turned 18 a couple of months ago but Soccer is still so scarred from the Douglas deal that he's already written him off based on YouTube highlights. His potential is legit but at this age who the hell knows how he'll turn out.

20M for him is not worth it imo. Barca have there youngsters only waiting to get promoted and signing some random Brazilian would be kinda telling them F U right in the face...

Douglas was (and still is) a random Brazilian. Gerson isn't. But I agree that right now he isn't worth it at that price.

It's shady as f. Since when does Barca properly scout talents in Brazil? Neymar was hardly scouted, he was already a known superstar. Other than that Barca only got shady deals like Keirrison, Henrique, Douglas. This Gerson dude has played a handful of games for Fluminense. Even if he's 18 and has potential, who has scouted him in the Fluminense youth teams? Would be a first for Barca to do that.

Gerson is either linked to Traffic or to Neymar's father who was paid for his "scouting company" (lol) in the Neymar deal to make it look like the money wasn't transfer fee but "other services" to avoid taxes.
