The word is they've picked the two Lanterns to star in the GL corps film. Hal Jordan and John Stewart. No surprise really.

Think it was reported a week or two ago that those were the two they'd opted for and that the movie could take a "Lethal Weapon" approach to it with Jordan in the Riggs role and Stewart in the Murtaugh role.

Would love a lethal weapon kind of movie. If it doesn't turn out like Iron Man 3 atleast. Just saw a report today saying someone saw some concept art of them.

But it's really a no-brainer. It's the two GLs people are most familiar with. John Stewart is the most famous for people in my age range I think.

Wish Matthew Vaughn directed it tbh. Singer a good choice. Sophie Turner is not a good actress. Not yet atleast. Is Jennifer Lawrence running around in her human form because she doesn't want to sit in makeup? Never liked her Mystique anyways.

Think it was the worst of the trailers, but still good. Loved Moira's line and the build to Apocalypse. He sounds badass.

Apocalypse' interpretation is completely different, but he is actually coming down as threatening. Probably is going to be the most threatening than any MCU villain.

And how will he be defeated? Most likely Magneto will defeat him with Jean's help. They won't follow the comic version of age of apocalypse since it was mainly a what if? storyline. But Apocalypse never really dies so we'll see how this movie ends

Wondering what's Wolverine's role in it if he is in it at all.

Wolverine will most likely cameo like he did in First Class. They were joking in Comic Con that his scene will be longer than First Class.

I don't really follow the comic book scene, though i am aware of some storylines, but where does everyone stand on the way Superman/DCU is heading hmm

I love the way it's heading. It's nice to have a different universe than the one Marvel is doing. It is possible to love both.

Fanboys piss me off greatly though. Seems like there's this stigma against everything DC in the online community. The complaints shift. First it was that Batman and Superman shouldn't be fighting (yes that was something a lot of people complained about) and now they're angry to know they make up in the end. Both things are mentioned in the title of the movie though.

DC gives an overall somewhat bigger universe than Marvel. The fights and overall world seems more from another world than Marvel, which is somewhat more grounded. DC is gods fighting gods basically.

Also, Doomsday is the perfect choice to bring the league together. He's not a character/villain that can carry a movie, he can return once killed, and he's strong enough to warrant the forming of the league.

Ultron was terrifying in the trailers imo. But they cut his dialogue into something else, and the tone didn't fit.
