Hernanes doesn't play Elano's position.

Elano flopped in Europe, but had an impressive season with Santos in Paulistao and Copa Libertadores, that warranted a call-up.

Now that we saw this, Mano can make the necessary change to cut him.

so of course he did nothing wrong..

i think that many credit menezes for bringing in this new age, but as i mentioned already. it was an obvious move... tactically brazil is not perfect, free flowing or secure at all though, and he fielded some players that shouldnt have been there.

and batista is more of the same but i get more in heat with him cause argentina is in deeper holes. and hes not the man (no offense)

neither of these 2 men will take their teams to a wc.

much less to a copa america... like already seen.

i could be wrong...

When i said batista did nothing wrong,i was talking about how he got the best Argentinian players under his squad,and used pretty much the strongest lineup.unlike Mano.Menezes has a good idea but f*cked up on his callup.(Just like Dunga)

you kinda just proved my point on how neither did a perfect job.

just by putting milito there i disagree he put the best choices.

he put lavezzi and cambiasso as width players.

and even with the strong lineup you say, argentina played worst than brazil.

again you are just a bit butthurt... Very Happy

I'm sorry, but Batista was a terrible coach this tournament.

Mascherano should have been a defender instead of Milito, and they should have put an extra creative midfielder in there from the start. Kun, Di Maria and Higuain should have played the whole tournament. Messi should have had less responsibilities to give him more space.

Maradona at least fielded the logical 11 (aside from not bringing Zanetti and Cambiasso) and managed to win with Argentina.

Of course he was nuts, but he managed to motivate his players, and take most of the blame away from his players by taking the hit by being crazy.

He also worked alot with the team chemistry and his relation with all of the players were very good. I do think Maradona would have done better than Pep Batista. Atleast Maradona plays his own style.

Exactly, he did that well. And besides, players are still intimidated by him, because he is Maradona. He can keep big egos small.
