Re: Summer Transfer Window 2016 || Klopp Loses His Virginity
I agree that Mané and Wijnaldum may suit Klopp's preferred style of quick transitions and high pressing. But my worry is that is that style going to be successful for us in the Prem. Most teams are going to defend deep'ish against us. We're going to have most of the possession in most games, I think. I'm not convinced that Klopp's philosophy - and the players he's buying for it - are going to be a success at Liverpool.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2016 || Klopp Loses His Virginity
I can't agree with that though.
Quick transitions and high pressing is pretty much a key aspect on why we title challenged a couple seasons ago.
Quick and transitions and high pressing is why United was so damn successful under SAF.
You can go on and on. It has worked in the league before, and it'll continue to work.
The only issue I have with the current squad is the fact that Moreno is still regarded our "best" left back and there's still no real leader in this squad. I thought Sakho was that, but he's getting disciplined for not rocking up to training on time etc.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2016 || Klopp Loses His Virginity
We have a lot of offensive firepower this year.
No more relying on Fabio Borini, Rickie Lambert, Baloteli, Benteke, or Sterling to lead the line.
Sturridge is finally fit. Even if not Origi is coming into his own and reaching his potential in front of our eyes. And I really like Ings as 3rd/4th choice as well. He's better than nearly anyone else's 3rd/4th choice. And now we got a host of very skilled AM/Wingers who all work hard and press and are creative behind them and offer different skills and attributes to each other.
I haven't been this excited with our offensive firepower since Suarez was here.

I really wish we had kept Sterling.
He would of been a gem under Klopp.
But yeah the final third looks okay for the time being. Dan and Bob have the X-factor; still lack that extra creativity from midfield but we should be right. Full faith in Kloppo.

Still expecting 5 departures:
1. Balotelli: Loan/5m
2. Benteke 25m
3. Luis Alberto 5m
4. Flanagan : Loan
5. Lucas: 3m
Still expecting at least 35m from sales. Net spend is round about 15m, Use the remaining 15-20m for a full back.

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-youngster-cameron-brannagan-set-11709215
The midfielder is expected to link up with the Championship outfit this weekend. The Latics have agreed to Liverpool’s “75 per cent” clause, whereby clubs are penalised financially if a player they have loaned does not play in a specified ratio of matches, having initially refused.
Wigan had been willing to pay £1m to sign Brannagan on a permanent basis, but the youngster has impressed Jurgen Klopp and is seen as someone with a long-term future at the club.
Brannagan made nine appearances in total last season, and is in line for a new, improved contract at Anfield. He has featured in all-but-one of the Reds’ pre-season friendlies, but spoke last month of how a loan move to the Championship would benefit his development.
“If I’m not going to get regular game time here, I’d love the experience of what it’s like because that’s something I’ve not done before,” he told the ECHO.

I have been back for a few weeks on the forum now, actually. Needed some time off after the way Arsenal was derailing. I actually haven't been watching much football in 2016 - only even managed a couple of games through the Euros. It's silly season, so I am back here for the banter
Things are a bit messy overall, but nothing that I can't deal with.

Yes, They should be official over the weekend.
We're still not to shipping out Balotelli, Benteke and Luis Alberto any soon. Hopefully these deals progress. A full back is now absolutely vital this window.

I'm not kidding, I'd be happy if Bayern signed Balo on a loan or for cheap as a backup

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2016 || Klopp Loses His Virginity
+1 for your kindness.
I still think Klopp is going to get a minimum of 2 more players in this window.
We still have about 30m from sales remaining, And apparently even Randall might go on loan.
Gala give deadline to LFC for Lucas:
Galatasaray's sporting director: "If the deal for Lucas goes ahead it will happen on Monday otherwise we will have to look elsewhere."

90% exposure on the Markovic situation
So he's basically 1 step ahead of Benteke and 2 steps ahead of Alberto and Balotelli.

“But at the end we have to see how we will build our squad. We have time between now and 31 August where maybe something will happen. Maybe it will happen earlier, maybe it will happen on the 31st, or maybe it will never happen. That’s how it is.
“At this moment we need all these players for the games and for our training sessions, and he is part of it. That’s all for now.”

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2016 || Klopp Loses His Virginity
tbh markovic was one of our worse buys ever. I could see right away the guy has no fight in him. as soon as he is put under pressure he don't get mad and battle he just drops his head and does nothing. there is no excuse for anyone that wont show fight.Nishankly wrote:http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-boss-klopp-praises-markovic-11712005
