He has to drop deep all the time because the midfield are finding it hard to escape Bilbao's pressure. Credit to Bilbao for this. Barca probably won't face a more difficult match than this all season.

What was stupid about it?

He had a wide open option on the right that he could've used one touch and Barca could've restarted their attack. Instead he turns fully around and runs towards the goal before using his weaker left foot to play the ball to someone who had a man breathing down his neck?

Stupid risk that wasn't necessary at all.

Meh. Athletic are always touted as this super tough opponent but everytime I watch them play against the big boys, which is surprisingly regularly tbh, they're actually pretty weak even if reasonably well organized.
