I'm an hour into the epilogue, feel like its dragging.
Also, Sadie probably has the sexiest voice i've ever heard ever, wanna make love to that raunchy accent.

Power through it, most of the epilogue isn't great but the ending more than makes up for it.

face that goes with the voice is nothing to sneeze at either
yeah the epilogue is mostly boring AF (makes sense though) but also has the best moment in the game so..

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I see what Firenze met.
Random encounters in Lemoyne at nighttime is scarier than most horror games I ever played.
Saw a legit ghost, a woman in white crying, and the fucking eerie as f Night Folk.
If they make an Undead Nightmare 2, hope they go all out on Lemoyne. Give us voodoo, witches, cannibals, spirits etc.

There's rumors they are btw, there's also rumors they are remaking Red Dead 1 for DLC lol.
So take it all with a canyon of salt.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I believe those rumours tbh, but we'll see how RDR Online utlizes that area first..
been listening to the OST a lot the last few days, tremendous stuff, they use notable pieces sporadically but they're incredible pieces when used, quality over quantity
few days to cool down and having watched some videos etc..
2 of the all time great gaming moments in this game and probably the best written character of all time (in gaming) or at least of the modern era, can't speak for those old ass CRPG's Harmonica salivates over. Rockstar have left every other studio in the dust IMO, eager to see if anyone can bridge the gap, Naughty Dog or CDPR with Last of Us 2 and CyberPunk. Very few studios are fortunate enough to have the resources and time like Rockstar though, I feel like we'll be waiting for Rockstar themselves before this game is surpassed.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
It's hard to compare TLOU 2 because as amazing as it might be it probably won't feel as unique.
The only comparisons we're going to have is the story, characters and writing because the two games are decidedly different.
The rest you can't really compare the two, Cyberpunk has a chance because it's in the same sub genre and CDPR like Rockstar constantly want to push the envelope and the fact we don't see that type of sci-fi very often so it will feel fresh.
I think the biggest takeaway here is this is the first time since San Andreas really where Rockstar has really changed their formula and you see what you get.
Don't get me wrong the first Red Dead and GTA are great games but they focused on different things, it's been a long time since they tried to change their open world formula.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
CDPR really went above and beyond with the Witcher 3, considering the budget they had. It's really quite extraordinary. I think the expectations they've built up for Cyberpunk, especially considering they have a larger budget now, can easily backfire on them. People aren't going to accept anything but exceptionality. Anything less would take away from the momentum they built up with The Witcher 3.

In Chapter 6 now, the story keeps getting better and better.
- Spoiler:
- Guarma was unexpected as hell. Never thought I'd see the day Rockstar does a tropical island. That arc was amazing Wish we spent wayyyyy more time there.

I‘m in chapter 6 aswell, the best thing about this game are the characters, I‘m so invested in the story that I‘m dreading it‘s ending soon

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
- Spoiler:
- Fantastic game, and this is coming from a guy that hated RDR1, the story is one of the best in gaming, maybe even the best. The sad tale of Arthur Morgan, its up there with TLOU and UC4. Then again there only so few studios that can pull off stuff like this, the open world, exploration, shooting, everything is A+. I think it might be one of the best this generation alongside GOW and UC4, also pending TLOU2.
That scene in the train station with the Nun consoling Arthur was probably one of the most emotional scenes in any video game, the delivery and acting, perfect.
This is how storytelling should be done, no through terminals and bots handing me quests with 0 NPC that i interact with (looking at you F76)

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Just wow man, finally finished chapter 6. Speechless.
- Spoiler:
Arthur is one of the greatest characters of all time in video games imo. Can‘t believe I didn‘t like him at the beginning, just for not being John Marston! Dutch was also such a complex character, I loved nearly everyone in that camp, Lenny, Sean, Hosea, Sadie, Charles (still don‘t know what happened to the latter two). Contender for best video game of all time.

I haven't yet. Had to stop a bit after that chapter, I was pretty much emotionally drained.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Finished Epilogue Part 1. This game left me speechless.
- Spoiler:
- Arthur's last ride to camp with THAT song...
Arthur's horse dying. For me, the horse was Buell so it was even more emotional.
"You are my brother"
Dying watching the sunrise, with Unshaken playing (pretty much Arthur's theme song). Happy he got a peaceful death.
Incredibly cathartic to play as John Marston again. But its the new generation and the motherfucker still can't swim
