Ivorian Bramble.

insaenly rich mans Chris Samba would be apt IMO. He's still young and on his way to being a top 3/5 CB in the world .

That said we've had to suffer through Rugani and Romagnoli are going to be the best CB Italy have produced in years and future GOAT for like 2-3 years now from Serie A fans, and they continue to prove not a damn thing. Ceiling of Gamberini at best. So allow the Bailly hype ffs. Already proven more than other hyped CB.

Pretty sure Bailey would be back in Spain before he is anywhere near the top defender you envisioned for him. Which is another thing, EPL clubs need to stop purchasing defenders from Spanish clubs particularly from Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal and Real Sociedad. They hardly ever really represent value for money.

what? he's already our top CB by far and a top 3 CB in the league. Vert and Alderweirald the only that are better. He's 24 and cost 30m, and as far as I'm concerned he proved his worth last season. Dat treble. He keeps it up he will be a top 3 CB in the world.

Masiello, Gamberini, Dainelli. These are the names I think of when I see Romagnoli. The nerve you have to call out a legit CB when you've been hyping up some low level scrub as the next big thing for 3 years. That guy will be lucky to have a season like Bailly did last year in his entire career.

outside of playing the SPAL's of the world your defenders couldn't find a clean sheet at a laundromat. GTFO. Bailly - Koulibaly is the future. Can't wait to sign the latter and pair them ffs.

The "far as you are concern" part is what troubles me. As far as Chelsea fans are concerned, they think Kante is the best player in the EPL. As far as Jjuve fans were concerned, they held Barca to a draw so Madrid was easy pickings.

I honestly just see the same Bailly that was at Villareal, nothing grand but nothing bad. If you think he is a top defender, by all means but I really envision seeing him being sent on loan in about 2 years back to Villareal...or Atletico.

Not sure why we'd need a Napoli defender when they have conceded only one less than us in an inferior league tbh.

Linderlof looks trash tho. Funny how in pursuit of finding the next Ferdinand to Bailly's Vidic, we didnt have a look within our ranks. Rolling Eyes Tuanzebe is in every way superior.

.. is what you say after Tuanzebe played well once in a League Cup game.
Haven't you learned anything from all the instances where you hyped your youngsters?
Where's Januzaj, Wilson, McNair, Fosu-Mensah, Varela?

Is what I say after seeing Tuanzebe at least.. I guess.. 5 times. hmm (one of them being, the Arsenal game last season where he kept Alexis quiet) Each time he played he showed tremendous maturity and calmness for a youngster. The kid is nothing like some of the names you mentioned before. McNair,  Varela? Seriously? Don't pull names of random scrubs just to prove your poverty point.

And unlike those names who were actually overhyped (by myself included that is), Axel is one of our youngsters who were underrated. Much like Rashford. Perhaps thats because like Rashford he is a Mancunian lad, having been at the club since the age of 8. People generally seem to overrate foreign youth more than the kids from your own backyard.
Rashford comparisons doesnt end there either. Like Rash, he is also genuinely humble and hard working.

Now I dont know what will happen under Mourinho as I dont trust him one bit with any our promising youngsters. But if things dont go wrong, he could easily develop into a mainstay.

P.S FosuMensah is doing fine and will do fine (even if its at some other club that is). Going to be a top player.

Assuming Mou actually wants to play football of course. Need to see our lineup tomorrow. P4P though should be an easy win.

Mourinho will make sure he has a bare minimum of 6 players behind at all times. I will be surprised if we loose today therefore (will be surprised if we win too tho lol). So, yea a scoreless or a 1-1 draw at best.
