GTFO already!
I am all for a no deal brexit. Politicians with no plans, electorate with no plans, they just want out, then they "should take their sovereignity back". No one in EU wants them.
Unique wrote:norway and the swiss do fine without the EU im sure britain wont starve to death.

Norway and Swiss abide by all 4 rules, pay their dues for the access to the single market and don't have any say in political matters. UK wants all the benefits without paying into the pot and by having a vote in political matters.
GTFO!

we the UK usually get what we want in the end. Once we are out for a year or two it will be like we were never part of it.

Labour is backing a 2nd referendum as of today. Options to be revealed later. Probably a play to stop further splitting of the party.

And rumor has it May will ask for a 21 month extension (the date when the UK will no longer have any budgetary commitments to future EU projects).

Could we please fucking not? Imagine living with this uncertainty and angst for 2 more years.

I really think it's the best possible option for UK. The politicians blamed EU so much for every domestic problem over the years that people started to believe the crap. UK needs a timeout to come back to their senses, to get rid of useless politicians and concentrate on their real domestic problems without blaming 3rd parties for their own shortcomings.

This is bad for UK. More uncertainity means less investment/ foreign involvement in UK economy. I sense a huge capital drain from the country over the course of the next months.

I'd be shocked if the referendum labour are after will include an option to stay. Corbyn is a known secret brexit supporter. I am sure he will have his version of deal in the amendment.

But even with labour backing a 2nd referendum, there isn't enough support in the parliament.

All the signs are pointing towards an extension.

Of course you cannot trust online comments, but what's interesting is that on every BBC article on Brexit where comments are just available, it's pro no-deal comments that consistently get the most upvotes. I get that on sites like the Daily Mail that is the case, but the BBC is as neutral as it gets in the UK.

The BBC might be neutral, but people who comment under news websites are not.

did someone say the BBC are neutral. Laughing Laughing pls people watch this vid and tell me if you have ever seen a man get this owned in your life cheers tbh it would be funny if it wasnt so serious. it just shows what the media are like in the UK.

The issue is, if there is a 2nd referendum, does that illegitimatize the first one? If so, isn't that unfair?

Nothing about any of this is fair.

If things were fair, David Cameron and Boris Johnson would be thrown naked into a pig stall, and the Brits would get rid of their fucking monarchs.

MONARCHS

in the year 2019

If things were fair, Northern Ireland would be given to Ireland where it belongs. Voila, back stop no longer a problem.

Lots of things are unfair, among them lying to the people without scruples.

Don't think repeating a referendum a few years later, because it turns out the result of the first was a stupid fucking idea which noone wants to take responsibility for, would figure in the upper half of the table of unfairness

But yeah, the British politicians are to cowardly to say that. The thing they all feel compelled to say is that 'they must respect the will of the people', as if a 50/50 referendum would signal anything like that.

should we ask the people of Northern Ireland if they want to be handed over to the south or just do it and say fuck the people of the north. hmm and the monarchs are a massive part of Britain and it’s history now I know you guys from Europe think we should give away our country to anyone that fancies taking it but please let us keep a little bit of our history Thumbs up and I tell you something else that would be fair. It would be fair if the homeless people in Britain didn’t have to remain homeless so the government can give benefits and homes to a bunch of Syrians

2nd referendum won't have the same options. Most likely 'no deal', 'deal 1' 'deal 2'

Why? Don't we hold elections every 3-5 years in most democratic countries? How is this any different?

Besides, doesn't the entire funding scandal, blatant lies, etc, delegitimize the first one even more?

Can't see the EU accepting a delay except for a 2nd ref. No way they allow the delay to go to June when there are EU elections. And what would a 2 month delay accomplish anyways?

Makes sense. There is no reason for the EU to delay.

Gonna be a new general election soon or what?

Not an answer to the Brexit question. Labour haven't put forward any deal either. GE won't solve anything.

I say they will put exit on hold, pending new referandum and that result will kill the entire idea of exit. Majority (all except Unique!) have already seen what a fraud it was.

I really want them to go though. They've always done their own thing anyway (no Schengen member, no Euro currency) and been a loyal US vassal. Hope they enjoy their chlorinated chickens and genetically manipulated food which the US will shove down their throats if they want to have any sort of trade deal with them.

no. My argument for brexit is I don’t want a bunch of French German BelgIan’s to run my country and flood it with more unsavoury people than we cant take care of. I’m of the opinion that you should feed your own kids before you worry about other people’s.
