Messi. The whole team is finetuned to bring out the best in him, and he has achieved an unparalelled level of consistency and genius in this team. Arguably, Maradona would not shine as much as Messi does in this team - and even if he would, why change? The risk of the 'switch' not working for either sporting or personal reasons is too large and right now the team is perfect.

Pretty much this. There isn't a player on earth past or present I'd change for Messi in this Barca system.
