Re: Phil Jones
Rejecting Arsenal and Liverpool for ManU was a good call IMO.
Hoping this is good for the national team now too
Doesn't surprise me picking ManU any day of the week.

I am not gonna be a bitter asshole and say enjoy the bench
I really liked him, but hopefully he loses his ability and potential over night now

Well its all logical to me he gets CL football gets to play with Smalling and learn/play with Vidic + Rio.
More likely to win silverware too.

Can't argue with you there. Don't blame him for going to United. Even with a not so great side they won the league in the end.
I'm not nearly as disappointed as some Liverpool fans because of my own ignorance. I've barely seen him play so I haven't really witnessed the qualities in him that others are talking about.

No, no i think that 17m is the perfect price for him. Wenger shouldnt expect to get him for 10m hahaha.Sepi wrote:Jamin wrote:i'm just waiting to see how much Man Utd paid for him....

i thought that Fergie would pay 25-30m...

It was his release clause man. If he didn't have it, he would have been more expensive!!
He just happened to choose United which is acceptable for people of his age, because they grew up watching United winning everything.

Rumour is Arsenal had a 16m+ bid accepted for him , but he chose United . Wenger was prepared to spend 16m on the guy .

No details given for why Jones reportedly failed medical but possibly connected to hamstring problem suffered in December

Re: Phil Jones
If this has any weight, it will be a minor complication and he will get another medical, everything will get sorted.
He has He has featured for B'Burn since December IIRC and is heading for the Euro u21 with the England team.
I stick with this story being nothing but a rumor.

Re: Phil Jones
From Mirror writer Annie Eaves off of Twitter-
PHIL JONES MEDICAL: Personally I think it's either a) Rubbish OR b) Not enough time to do further checks required for insurance. So delay.

I totally agree.

Oliver Kay from the Times Newspaper just tweeted:
'For those asking re Phil Jones #MUFC deal, he's just arrived at England U21 camp and he's in high spirits. "Rumour" appears to be rubbish'
