they are owned by news international which owns the sun, news of the world and the times. i used to work for news international. the sun gets so much negativity on here and the times and sun are the same newspaper aimed at different audiences

sky is a broadcasting network not a newspaper. but if you are refering to sky news then yes, sky news lack of neutrality has been well documented. sky sports news is good to watch on matchday for the latest scores. i remember last year when the said man united had signed Ozil. lol
Anyway all this is specualtion because since jones has had his medical at united there has been no confirmation of the signing, maybe this is because jones wants to concentrate on the u21 tournament and doesn't want to be distracted by the media etc

Just the site of Evans these days makes me sick... Once a shining star to some dull nobody!
Re: Phil Jones
he has agreed to sign for us? check. He was pictured going for a medical? check. His buy out clause on his contract was 16 mill, which United met? Check.
I expect these sort of rumors to float around the net until his confirmation as a United player by the club.

Yes, I think it is. I mean, if the club that is selling the player does not allow the buying club to talk to the player, then it is tapping up. I could be wrong though.

Re: Phil Jones
Sensationalist news. This is an embarrassment because it's clear that the B'Burn owners are confused about this clause situation.
There is no such thing as a "16 million to speak to the player" clause.
United are confident they will get this done as everything on his contract was met by United. And last of all, Jones wants to come to us. He rejected both LFC and Arsenal for United. He will personall push this move to come to us and has had his medical already.
Nothing to see here. I am more than confident that Jones will be a United player. All this proves is B'Burn have embarrassing owners who don't know how a football contract works.

It's all over the net. Just check in the guardian, independant, telegraph etc. I can't be bothered to search for it.
BBurn owners are now valuing Jones at 20+ million and claim the 16 mill get out clause for him was only for clubs to speak to the player. SMH lol.
It's nothing but rumours.
This is from the sunday mirror cheif football writer. Just posted on Twitter:
Manchester United complete the transfer of Phil Jones from Blackburn despite clams Blackburn were considering holding the deal up.

He is joining United instead of LFC isn't he? both clubs paid the same amount of money + LFC were on the verge of signing until he found out we were interested in him and chose us.

Re: Phil Jones
Mail's headline is LFC bid 22M to force United to pay more money
I had heard that one of JH's transfer strategies was so force rivals to pay more for their targets...but I didn't know he would attempt to execute it so quickly in England...Will be interesting to see how this one ends up

Actually there are clauses that allow players to discuss terms once the clause is met but dont force the club to sell . Swansea's left back was allowed to speak to newcastle once the clause is met but that didnt force them to sell last week .There are similar incidents in the past too.
I dont know about the clause in Jones contract but it isnt beyond the realms of possibility so not sure how u can call them embrassment when they are the ones who know more about the clause .

Re: Phil Jones
Phil Jones will finally become a Manchester United player next week with lawyers from the two warring clubs working out the details of the player's transfer valuation, according to ESPNsoccernet sources.

Re: Phil Jones
Why are liverpool fans all over zee interwebs kicking up a fuss about united"nicking their target"?
Jones would've been playing his football in north london if united hadn't stepped in with a late bid.
If anyone should be pissed of at fergie and jones, it should be Arsenal fans.
Oh and, ill just leave these here....
