If we seriously don't value Salah up to £13m then I don't know why we're after him. Hopeful bargains in the summer window didn't turn out that great, our next signing should not be one of those.

I think it is clear that we dont priorotize any particular player as our immrediate need otherwise we would have in for it completely by now. So mostly the deals will happen late in the window.

Reading some Yarmolenko links again. Don't know how valid but he is a left footed RW (like Salah) so could it be that we're thinking about other alternatives if Basel don't break. Yarmolenko has 1.5 years left in his contract, His price must be going down at this point.

Yea, I mean we didn't value Sturridge or Coutinho up to 13m and look how terribly they've done for us. Rolling Eyes

Fabrizio Romano is a very respected journalist and correspondent who adds up the team of Gianluca Di Marzio. I'd trust everything he says given his professionalism and excellent credibility.

Red points out we should follow Echo (to which Messia & Red himself heavily) follow along with James Pearce and Tony Barrett; add Romano to the list.

Its what I want for Tiago. As nice as it would be to do a 'Nesta of Lazio' to Tiago and build him within the confines of Anfield (this year) loan time is needed for this CB who must receive the most calculative of development.

Given that Tiago is essentially a ball-playing CB, I would like him to be loaned in a team such as Swansea United or an Italian team; who these days embrace the sweeper characteristics within the more (on-ball) gifted CBs.

I don't us to pay over the odds or signing just for signing's sake. But as Rodgers has mentioned, we have a thin squad (and there will be inevitable injuries in the remaining half of the season, coupled with fatigue) for ensuring T4.

I know it goes against our policy/practice, but can we sign someone old who would be good enough for next 1.5 years! Because, as things stand, we badly need some cover for Lucas and a versatile attacker.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is believed to be plotting the signing of Dutch international midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. The Metro says that Rodgers is keen to add more creativity to the Liverpool midfield and has identified the PSV captain as his preferred candidate. Wijnaldum has scored 39 times in 105 appearances since joining PSV from Feyenoord in 2011 and the 23-year-old could be available for nine million pounds.

Wijnaldum was one of the players of the tournament this past summer in U21 Euros. Outshone Adam Maher for me in the Netherlands squad. Reminded me of Ramires his nonstop running and he's got brilliant technique on the ball and an eye for goal. Could play AM or both wings just as well.

1) Please remember to include sources.

2) Decidedly "meh" target, IMHO. He's a solid attacker (generally plays as a CAM) but he's a bit injury prone and has in fact been out injured since mid-September this season. He may chip in with a few more goals but he's not a terribly hard worker off the ball and his passing is nothing special. He's certainly not what I'd call a "creative" player, especially as a CAM. If The Metro is the only source I'd say this is nothing more than paper talk... even if he wasn't injured (which he is).

Decent player, but not Liverpool standard.

His name always pops up in the window anyway, doubt there's much interest.

Sky Sport 24 are reporting that the Anfield side are in 'pole position' to sign Udinese defensive midfielder Emmanuel Badu. Chievo are also rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old.

He actually played against us last season in both fixtures against Udinese. He was a headless chicken in both of them. And he's still shit from the few times I've seen him this season. No where near good enough for a club like us.

Emmanuel Badu? Please no. Like most Udinese squad members who are mostly to look good by Guidolin's wonderful system, Badu essentially would look a fish without a bicycle outside their system as have players such as Pablo Armero etc.
