I am more against it than anyone on this forum but i would'nt act like this means the end considering how desperate Guardiola is for Cesc.

Reality: Buy Fabregas and Thiago leaves

Loads its just whether you want a young, talented CB or an experienced one that can take Puyol's place when he needs rest or injured and rely on the Cantera.

Mole, that is all the money Barcelona has. They may increase the offer by 5 million, but even that possibility is remote.

Guardiola has accepted that Barcelona does not have enough money to sign Cesc, so he is not going to force Rossell in this regard.

I dont think Barca need a footballing type( Puyol is'nt) they need someone who would be Pique's foil someone who will cover the ground and mops everything up while Pique dominates the air.

Sakho, Subotic, Kompany etc etc if your looking for someone in the early to mid 20s

But if your looking to people like Muniesa and Sergi Gomez as Puyol's replacement then i would get an exeperienced cb to bring them through and come in for Puyol when he is'nt fit or needs rest.

Like Bruno Alves, Alex(Chelsea), Juan etc etc

I had a hunch this was how it was going to end.
Pep clearly wants Cesc but Rosssell is a smart man and doesnt really see the need for Cesc considering the exorbitant price and all.
I dont think he wanted to pay an extra million when we already have Thiago and could probably get Cesc for an even smaller amount 2 or 3 years down the line.
But he also couldnt say no to Pep,the coach who had brought so much glory.
So he deliberately kept playing the debt card,stalled and put in low bids knowing that Arsenal would reject.
So everyones happy.Rossell is laughing,Barca fans are happy,Pep has been convinced that we will get Cesc some other time.
and best of all the traitor can go screw himself.
