You have not watched him alot this year I suppose. Silva is a much better dribbler better supporter more versitile in attack more creative more agile less injury prone etc

Indeed. Silva moves from La Liga to the EPL and he becomes the best of the moment. Cesc moves from the EPL to La Liga and he becomes average. Both hyperboles aside, I wonder what that says about the current state of midfielders in each league

But now he's proven in an amazing league and contributed to City's FA Cup win against Stoke. That's the key.

Well, we can't all expect Fabregas to instantly slot in Barcelona's system when he's spent years in a much more direct philosophy, along with the team being built around him.

Not longer does he have those advantages. Just give him time to remember those late night shower session with Pique and co. and he'll get better.

Really, why is he absolute trash when he plays in midfield for Barca then?

His midfield movement is atrocious, hes slow and static and doesnt have the subtle midfield that you need in midfield....

He's inferior to Thiago, Xavi and Iniesta in this regard.....

He's great as an AM or SS tho where he gets move space and can influence the game in and around box where hes dangerous.....

He's meh as a midfielder tho( maybe meh is unfair but hes definitely nowhere near Silva in this regard)

That's clearly bollocks. The only reason Fabregas has become more direct in the past few years is because of Wenger forcing him into an AM role to make up for Arsenal's lack of threat in the goal department whenever RVP's out injured.

Go watch any Arsenal match from 06-08 where he was simply untouchable in a deeper role.

David Silva more creative than Fabregas

Cesc has played DM, CM, CAM, False 9 and as a wide forward throughout his career. How is Silva more versatile?

True, but Messi is also the most direct player in Barcelona, so it makes sence. It's like pairing Cesc with a smaller, better version of van Persie.
