Neymar is a overrated clown who score only tap-ins and easy goals thank to Messi.

I'm a big Eto'o fan but he is not better than Suarez. He was faster and quicker, and with even a greater hunger, but in everything else, Suarez beats him.

Speaking as someone who actually saw them play regularly, Laudrup was regularly subbed with Stoickov. They weren't a trio. There were only 3 foreigners allowed to start at that time and so Koeman and Romario started regularly and Laudrup was rotated the most. That was one of the reasons both he and Cruyff had a falling out.

MSN in terms of talent is the best trio I have seen at Barcelona in my lifetime. Neymar is better than Henry was at Barcelona, Suarez is very similar to Eto'o but bring more solutions to teams, Messi is another level form the 08/09 days.

What it all comes down to of course is the trophies. If they win the treble we can say they are something. ATM, they have won nothing. Trophies is what decides things at the end of the day. Talent wise (ability to create solutions through individual actions) MSN wins. MEH still the best trio.

If MSN had Xavi and Puyol in their primes (just these 2, no one else) Barca would wipe the floor with Europe once again and it wouldn't even be a debate if MSN is better than MEH or MVP based on trophies. This is still more or less a transitional phase. A dominant central midfielder as well as a world class partner for Pique are still lacking, Rakitic and Mascherano are stop gaps, and yet the team is only 8 games away from a treble, despite much higher competition in 2015 than in 2009 or 2011. Lucho is also just a rookie coach. Surprised this team got this far to begin with but I guess this tells you everything you need to know about the front 3.

ATM the team is more geared towards the forwards so you could argue that this system benefits them more than the one Pep used for MEH. Enriques philosophy won't change with prime Xaviesta. We can always try and chop and create alternate scenarios but I will compare them with what they have actually done. MEH won the treble, MSN has won nothing. Individually it is pretty clear that MSN are better at deciding games than the MEH iteration.

I can't agree MSN have any sort of benefit compared to Pep's Barca, especially not the MEH one in 2008/2009 which was still a very direct team where the forwards got lots of space (the 10/11 iteration might be worth a discussion maybe). Xavi in his prime was creating as many chances as Messi does in the final third, if not more, which is ridiculous for a central midfielder who is also dictating the buildup and distributing the ball. 29 assists in 2008/2009, was it? If Enrique had a central midfielder like that I doubt this Barca team would be perceived as "more chaotic, more counterattacking". It's circumstiancial for me. Rakitic can't dominate the midfield against a team like Real Madrid so the team has to play differently. But in general Lucho's idea is not counterattacking football. Just watch this and tell me what's the difference to Pep's Barca:



Only difference is this can't be pulled off against the best teams anymore.

My point still stands, MSN have achieved nothing but have more aggregated talent. MEH won the treble. This game is about trophies. I'm not going to discuss different variables such as players, tactics and oppositions faced etc. Trophy count is what it boils down to at the end of the day.

I bet Benzema is dying to be with these guys rather than what he has now... Oh how will he shine with either of these three beside him.

While I agree with Fuss, surprisingly enough defense isn't our problem this season.
